Shrimp boil at Port Aransas for Thanksgiving I guess this doesn't count for to the over 400,000 mile club, but I'm almost there.

I picked up this truck about a year ago. It was intended to be a parts truck, but turned out to be in better shape overall that the '95 I was driving at the time. Got some rust and a bit of neglect:

Are those custom bumpers?

Installed the Whiteline HD front sway, it is huge compared to stock:

Also started making an adjustable panhard;

It took days but I finally talked myself into a set of these .......Dobinsons 3way adjustable MRR shocks. Also ordered a set of the Dobinsons 3” Flexi coils to go with them but they are still on back order. The plan is to impress my wife with the smooth ride of the land cruiser and make her forget about the sliders that are angled up too high for her to use as a step . Yep that’s how I justified it in my own mind. And yes we have separate bank accounts or I’d be divorced.

Discarded an A440, mated the 1991 HF2A to a re-sealed H151 from a ~94 HDJ80. Verified all gears shift, hi/low works. Don't look great, but it works great.

Been a busy week. Got my bent draglink sorted thanks to @cruiseroutfit and State Automotive (first mechanic my 80 has been to since I got her.)

Did Thanksgiving outside Salt Lake and then braved the ride back to LA, definitely appreciated the cargo barrier as well as the super plush ride of the Tour Flex springs and the Dobinson’s IMS shocks.

Got home two hours ago and we are planning our next trip!
My gf is discovering that she loves wheeling.

Need to fix the seat gears (for the third time) so she can drive it with more confidence.

Sounds like an adventure! That ARB retrofitted bumper looks good!!!

Thanks! It's funny, I apparently anticipated my own bad line choices as I put this side brace in when I was making it fit two months ago. At the time it seemed like it might be overkill.

Cut to now, where it's clear that brace is what saved my AC drier.

There is some paint touch up in my future.

Did some cleaning on the white 93 and changed the diff oil (80w-90 synthetic), oil filter and oil change (15w-50 synthetic). Had to go to the dealership to get a 10x pack of those washers for those drain plugs. How you know your dealing with a neglected cruiser is you see how boogered up the diff drain/fill bolts are with caked on mud and scraping all the mud out with the harbor freight picks. (orange tools near me)

Just a note to say the Shmell Fab sliders worked out well for me on my 3rd gen...considerably cheaper than WKOR etc and have held up pretty well (had them about two years now.). Ryan (owner) is a cool dude too.
