Installed OEM wiper arms to replace these Michelin branded aftermarket ones.

Noticed the oem units are made in China. They also click to fit whereas the Michelin arms slide on no click. Also metal v plastic.

Couldn’t stand seeing the Michelin branding while driving. Cheap oem mod (rarity).

I thought you were having issues with these because of underhood heat? Is that solved?
It is indeed squared away they are on and bright staggering them puts more light than a single light Im stoked.

Wiper arms or wiper blades?

Earned the other half of my MUD tech membership badge. Already knocked out the PHH so had to do the knuckles to complete the process. Thanks to Onur, Terrain Tamer, Tools R Us, OTRAMM, Wit's End, the FAQ thread and others for the help along the way. Pass side was super dry and way under lubed. Possibly never touched since factory. Drivers side was leaking and PO had been in it for sure. Had what looked like Vaseline for grease and ZERO torque specs. Both sides had the 54mm nuts come right off by hand, both outside and insides.

The whole process took over a week since it was mid 90s and super humid the whole time. Now having done in once, I could likely do it again in 2 days with a parts washer.

Pass side dry knuckle. It looked like this when I opened it.

Drivers side was straight soup

Finally feeling like I'm getting to know my way around this truck a bit. Still more to do, but another huge baselining hurdle is cleared.

Got to take a picture of my old black '96 (sold it in 2013) parked next to my current '97 LX today.
There's just something about running into your first love years down the road.

I have several photos like this. One of my old 4runners sold twice and the 3nd owner down the line (after leaving the state for a year or more) found me online, brought the truck over to my house and we installed a tow hitch and I gave him some leftover parts.

3 years after starting the rocker chop/high clearance slider adventure on the driver's side I can now say the project is complete! Enlisted the help of a great local shop (Stellar Built) owned by MUD member @eurosonic and these guys did an awesome job.

I knew the passenger side would be a challenge because of the cats and even more so because I ran the whole exhaust outside the frame. The guys at Stellar Built made the slider so that it matched what I did on the driver's side but went all out on the cat/exhaust protection. Made a beefy removable 3/8" skid plate to protect the cats. The skid plate is just about flush with the frame & cross member. No concerns with bashing up my exhaust now.

Oh and they also installed my 3.11 tcase gears that I've had sitting on the shelf for 2 years. I'm not the quickest at finishing up projects as you can probably tell

Whoa... factory "skid plate" still lol

I know I know! Tcase has taken some pretty good hits. For the longest time I could never find a design I liked. All the skids offered by other companies hung too low I felt. I like the full crossmember replacement made by Cruisin Off Road but they stopped making that. So I just kept waiting. Finally I did the rear suspension which gave me a 2nd crossmember and makes it super easy to build my own that ties the two crossmembers together. And of course at this same time Badlands and Creeper Sleeper skid come out with two great options now that I'm no longer in the market. Go figure.
