So many wrong things in a single post.
Let's dissect it.
1) I don't live in Mayberry. It does not apply to me or anyone passing through that place.
2) Now it starts full on: "People are trustworthy and good here."
Implying people in the middle of Iowa are of a certain kind, unlike the rest of the country.
3) If I want your stuff, how would I know your doors are unlocked? Put a damn sticker on your windows to make it easier for me not to break your precious windows. I might get surprised discovering the doors were unlocked and after breaking the window curse you for making me uncomfortable with unwanted and unneeded extra attention the noise brought onto me.
4) Ahhh, here we come full circle: "Plus my 80 looks like an African... people don't think much of it."
Now number 2 makes a lot more sense.
All you have to do in order to avoid being labeled is get rid of the sticker.
