Installed Roger Brown's 1" body lift on my '93 FZJ. Huge thanks to @IronYuppy for the great installation write up here. I do have a few friendly amendments I'll offer to that installation write up to keep the thread together.

The lift did exactly what I needed it to do: 1) create a gap between my sliders and the pinch weld to get rid of a massively annoying slider squeak, 2) give me a little space above the cats to slightly reduce the heat in the cabin, and 3) get the lift exactly where I want it. I'm running OME heavies and a 1" spacer in the front with a fairly light BumpItOffroad tube bumper, and OME mediums in the rear with the factory bumper. The body lift takes me to right around 4" of overall lift; just right for my tastes and needs.

Hood is up because I'm chasing a bit of a short that's killing my FL Power fuse, but here is how the rig sits on 315/75 Duratracs. As far as the lift goes, I'm now done.

For anyone who's interested, here is the install thread with my comments appended.

ell just got back from my annual 12 step group camping trip in the Crystal Springs area off Icehouse rd / I-50 in the sierras ! Had a great time as always, had some stellar steaks off our groups custom cook trailer, breakfasts were great too , enjoy peets out of the press to boot ! then hung out in my favorite dipping hole in Rubicon Creek....Notice my custom "awning" ... ended up tying off to a tree, zipping the tarp to the truck, and only used one of the pices of pvc and a strap... already looking forward to next year !

It's pretty cool. It's on page 1070.

Or maybe it was 1082.

Or was it 1043?

I can't remember now. But it's freaking awesome. We'll tell you about it later.

If I can make a suggestion, buy the vents with holes pre-drilled. I didn't pay for the install. I did it myself. It is pretty straight forward. Just a little scary cutting on the hood. Just take your time, measure like 234 times, use painters tape and you'll be fine.

Is that a water heater inside your trailer?

Thanks for the tips...not sure I will be cutting myself though!
