Stumbled on this receiver tire carrier on CL for cheap enough to try it… tire sits out a little far so may chop that down a wee. I like the idea of the table. We shall see.
It definitely kills my departure angle a bit but getting my full size tire out from under there where the pipes were melting the tread is important too.

I actually sold some crap on there yesterday too.
I have several alerts going and have made some great scores. This tire carrier and table were in good/great condition and retail for around $1,800. I got the set plus a Dometic fridge slide in usable condition for $600.
I can’t do FB, it’s like Walmart for me. Just no.
Looks awesome. Any tips? I've had mine sitting upstairs in my garage for a couple of years now as well.
Be patient and take your time. Start from the back and work your way forward. I used the old carpet as a template, but not all holes need to be cut (ask me how I know), like the rear seatbelt buckles on the floor.
You must take the shifter out. This is where I used the old carpet to guess where the holes would be. Just made a small X cut so it will go over and trim out from there. And there will be substantial trimming on the firewall side. This piece will require trial and error to fit. Think I R&R'd it 5 times before I was happy with it.
Once you have everything in place with the seats and all back in, that's when I made my cuts along the door sills.
Other than that, just don't do it in May in Louisiana. It's already hot and humid as hell.

Cut out the rusty C-channel’s on the back of the frame. I don’t know how anyone could do this with the body still attached, was not a fun task. Thanks to Trail Tailor for advice on removal and I will be installing his replacement channels.
Now start prepping for coating the frame!

Not technically this immediate past weekend, but...
drove the 62 back from CruiserMatt's to the Atlanta area on Friday after getting the Terrain Tamer kit installed, all new hoses (replaced originals after 36 years...), EGR delete, new radiator, and some misc stuff. What a drive cruising 65-70 up 75 with the windows down shortly after storms blew through. Got almost 15mpg to rival my 200 and just a few instances of the AT oil light popping on (idled for 10 minutes and back on the road).
I can't recommend Aidan, Matt (and Jordan in the shop) enough to anyone looking for work done. Class acts. Now for some new rubber.

Wasn't hard, but I have a 2-post lift and an air hammer/chisel. But then again I started with a hammer and hand chisel, so maybe my perspective is skewed. lol
Yours were in MUCH better condition than mine. Still, great job getting it done!
What's your initial impression of the Terain Tamer Springs?

I’ve spotted a couple of 60s in other parts of the state; one in Commerce, and another in Lula.
Heard there are some out west towards the city too. I’m in PTC myself.
Love it. Granted, I came from 36 year old original leaf springs so...very comfortable, very smooth on the highway. Will hopefully test it out with some light trail riding soon.
