I added about a dozen tack welds and stopped because I think that I may have smoked the upper filter… lol. Hope not! Sanded them down, then Added some JB Weld to seal it up. It ought to hold.I did the same thing but didn't weld itdoh
. Instead I wrapped the entire seam with a piece from a sheet of viton rubber, then the clamp goes over that. It may start vibrating apart though. I may have to bungie cord it. I guess I could do the same thing but just weld it in 3 or 4 spots.
. It was not old enough to have a right to fail, the last ones were as old as me when I replaced them, and they were fine. I'll probably get a cheap Duralast from Autozone and slam it in to get the truck stopping again, then get a spare of some sort and carry it around with me in case the other side fails as I replaced then as a set. I expect better of Advics.
