Looks good. Do those calipers mount directly to the caliper ears on the knuckle?
No. There is a bracket that replaces the backing plate. The original caliper ears are in the way so you can either swap the knuckles left to right or trim the lower ear off. I trimmed. I hope I'm happy with it because going back is not an option.

I got my 70 series 16" wheels in, for $100 Canadian each. I presume they seal up and don't need tubes. Dumb question I guess seeing it's 2022. That crevice between the two halves, it sure will attract every nasty substance on the road and promote rust. I was thinking of filling it full of epoxy, anyone done this? I'll be coating them over again with some epoxy paint since the factory paint doesn't look too robust.

Installed all new OEM ignition components. Stabbed my JimC recurved dizzy wrong at least a dozen times; kept stabbing it a tooth or two too retarded. Finally sorted that out and got it running good at 7*. Need to bump timing and adjust carb (paging @HemiAlex). Prepped and got first coat of paint on wheel vintique smoothies. Yokos are in the mail.

Picked up some custom drawers made by a friend. Will be adding a sleeping platform using 80/20, wings, drawer dividers, rubber on top and L track.

Have to get them tied down too.

Polished more of the rust.

Carb tune? I thought we were doing a sniper.

Good stuff from you guys this weekend!

I ordered tires for the 16's. Went with 235/85/26 BFG KO2s after several discussions with @HemiAlex. Tall and skinny, just like I like them. They should be in later this week.

Took both of my girls about an hour down the road to my parents for the weekend. It was a beautiful morning Saturday so we took the 60!

Stopped for some Kentucky road trip essentials, on the way back. I thought gas had gotten expensive, have you bought beef jerky lately? o_O

You’ll be very happy.

Cleaning and blasting weekend. Decided NOT to check backlash on a Monday. Tomorrow will be the day. This stuff cleans up great! Check out the Aisin stamp. First time blasting something I did not want sand inside at all.....The Tyvek tape has worked great.

Installed caster shims in the front. Now I'm not wandering aimlessly down the road! Still need an alignment.
2 or 4*?

4*... I'm not sure what my caster was before I installed them, but I put an OME lift on back in October and never brought it to an alignment shop for some dumb reason. Lift is a standard 2.5 - 3 inch. I knew I needed shims. I swear I could see the caster was negative when I looked at the front wheel in the wheel well. Now, I just need to have a shop fine tune the TRE if need be. My steering wheel has always been off too, so maybe I'll try to mess with that next weekend. Slowly attacking my steering and handling issues...

Mine was negative before the 4* shims and went to perfectly within the factory range with them. Night and day difference.
