Charged it up at work today. Took a little trial and error since the R12 to R134 conversion amount differences aren’t set in stone. Pressures were best with only 1lb of R134, and it blows 40 degrees at about 1500RPM. Its approx. 110 outside today, too.
sure did!! got intermittent views of mt baker to the west and rainier to the south. hiked up to slate peak. but clouds were rolling and the scene changes fast.
also - this odd buick lesabre abandoned up there with trash and rodent chewed bags of food and mississippi plates.
only 20 miles from canada - my guess is someone dumped it and left the country
Man, I love and miss Payson. We had a cabin up there when I was a kid in the 80’s...when Sedona and Flagstaff were not tourist towns yet. Loved hiking along Oak Creek Canyon.
On Tuesday afternoon we decided we have had enough of the cold and wet South West Australian winter, so Wednesday morning we headed north on a 2000km return camping trip with some boat fishing thrown in...
Here are some pics of the past few days!
Amateur here... attempting to keep my rusty 60 alive. No word yet from the machine shop on the block and it’s essentials (only been a week) after finding broken pistons. Made a patch and began welding it in.
Drove it. perks of having a take home patrol car is I never leave my house. While driving it I got acceleration stumbling. Gotta trouble shoot it. I am going to try cranking the fuel pressure from 47 to 60ish PSI. I turned it down to try and save some fuel but I dont think it did anything except cause backfiring. I also need to send off my third member to @OTRAMM for a rebuild so I can have my locker and 4wd back to match my gearing and locker in the front. I also need to order or fix my headers as they cracked at the Y pipe and rumble like a hot rod with no muffler, which sounds cool in theory until you have to drive at a speed over 35mph
Steering knuckle rebuild and OME 2 inch lift install. Cleaning parts and painting. Slow but steady progress this weekend. Frantically getting her ready for SAS. Time is running out. Tick tock........
Went camping with friends, just a quick overnight near Tamanawas Falls to enjoy a sunny weekend in the National Forest. The new 13' eaved popup worked beautifully, as do the new LED headlights from City Racer. Bonus baby Stihl 180 in the first photo for @Hojack
Finished the remote power door lock install. A cheap RF control unit, 4 fj62 actuators/latches from @MrMacdugal , a couple of relays powered off of the fridge power distribution block located in the rear panel, a bunch of wire, a few grommets, and some wire loom.
Not difficult, but time consuming tearing 4 doors apart and pulling trim to route wires.
