Dropped the oil pan and cleaned up the gasket. F'ed up the new 4 piece gasket... ordered new one piece gasket. Installed clean and freshly painted air rail. Replaced exhaust check valves. Cleaned up some frame rust and mitigated it as best as I could without going batsh!t crazy. My battery exploded at some point so I cleaned up that mess and threw some rust retarder upon the illness. Decided to order a new fan clutch rather than try to clean up the old one and waste my time. Coming along...

Fresh paint looks so good. Nice clean job.

Did Imogene and found a memorial to a lady with the same birth year as me

Then tapped a new aged whiskey at this place with the owners hosting a pig roast

Gotta be a story behind that leg.

Ate it on a switchback....hands went out and right leg down.

Prolly too much front brake. Should have one fingered it over two finger braking.

Happens in Colorado

Well not this weekend, but maybe 5-6 days ago.
Drove up the 74 before they closed it to try and get a closer look at the fire that started on Saddleback Mt and adjacent hills over looking lake Elsinore. Was up there for about 5 hours. Got some great vids of the 747 #944 Making retardant drops through the canyon. That takes a special kind of pilot to maneuver that 747 like that. Vids are too large to post up.
There were 4 helos and about 5 other planes making drops.

H55F with a rebuilt split case from georg.

It’s a whole new truck!

So cool, I really want to do this to my truck. Are you willing to share how much that beauty set you back?

Rig looks great Bama.

Pulled mine out from where it's sat for 6 months, degreased it, put the full doors back on, did a little more fender trimming, tried to dry out the interior with a fan and baking soda.

Ordering some chromo shafts for the rear and installing my 4:88 gears this week.

Is there a write up somewhere on these doors?

Original owner swapped to SBC in 95. Its a little worn out but runs well. Trailer only weighs about 800# loaded.
Sorry. What's a SBC? SINGLE BARREL CARB? LOL
My 60, when fully loaded, weighs about 7k. Rebuilt 2F.

Started installing rear cargo panels from Wagon Gear. A lot more work than I planned and started at high noon. Needless to say, I am exhausted. Did most of the hard work today. Should be finished tomorrow or the following day.

In case anyone is wondering ... the answer is yes. I do have solid stock side panels. I will be posting in classifieds later along with some other pieces.

I will add pics when complete.
