Additional update, including shots of clamping fenders and aprons while panel bond sets and work on a bobm fender patch. Finishing, primer and paint today, reassembly tomorrow, installing rooftop tent and loading gear Monday and leaving Tuesday am for the Great Basin, Yosemite, Sequoia, Death Valley, Anza Borrego and San Diego. Also in the middle of remodeling two bathrooms and it's tax time. No stress here!

Body guy is fast :)
It's a one man shop. He's been doing 10-11 hour days since he wasn't able to get us in as early as originally scheduled. I'm helping with reassembly in the morning. We'll be mounting the rooftop tent and loading up tomorrow afternoon and taking off Tuesday am.
Rockers are wonderful and the patch panel really helped with the fender. You can do the final inspection in June at Rico.

I started in on the fluids. Trans was full. Fluid ok.

Transfer was nearly empty.

Rear diff was milky. Nasty.

Ran out of 90wt before I got to the front.

I can only get my grease gun on 1 of 4 u-joints . Gotta get a needle fitting for the others.

So far the only leak is the manual steering box. I'm gonna pressure wash it and then fill it up with Lucas rack magic snake oil stuff. Hope that works.

Post 2F engine rebuild tuneup:
Re-torque head, re-torque rockers, adjust valves, adjust timing and change oil and oil filter.
Running great!!!

After 3years of contemplating how I want to deal with getting tall narrow tires, today was install day for Cooper Discoverer A/T3's. 235/85R16's with new steel rims.
For the short amount of time I drove around town, mountains and freeway here's my take.
1st and 2nd gear were an improvement around town(not needing to jump to 3rd) 3rd gear was an improvement for mountain highways(good torque), 4th gear at normally 60mph is now 67 mph. A bit more work as the grade increases. What I will miss is a low 1st in low range. As it was it was not low enough. At the moment I believe I will enjoy the change and get used to the compromises.
