So if you have not cut the pilars and the rockers does one need to add the cross supports and bracing?

I would brace as much as possible without restricting access.. you dont want it moving on you when everythings missing.

had a go at fitting the cowl in this arvo.. It still needs a bit of a trim but is not far off. Also need to figure out what to do re: wiper motor and a few other little bits.. The plan is with this part in and as high as possible under the windowscreen it will form the reference point for the firewall and floor and other bits.

Ok i have had it back on the road , since last Wednesday , put the a340f overdrive planetary gear set in my a343f , removed as much of the metal debri as possible . only time will tell now . On to finishing my wheels so i can install new rubber .

Today a crew got their rig stuck in the mud. I and another office guy went to the scene I took the doomer and we also took ram 1500. The stuck truck was a ram also. Well things got out of hand and we at 1 point had all 3 trucks stuck. I was following the mobile ram and things got squishy and I saw him bury the truck and at that point I had to stop and try to back out. It took a little earth moving and the doomer was free but after several hours we all piled in the doomer and left 2 rams to graze in the pasture.

I took off my winch and it could have really helped. I'm going back Wednesday when it's a little dryer and with a winch. I hate mud.

side note. The same guy ended up sinking both trucks. I don't think he is very good with mud.

Got paid to wheel. But I'm sore today. We have to get them out tomorrow because we are expecting a good storm on Thursday.

I can take some pics but i dont like it. It came that way to me, but i have a design that i want to do when i get more time. I have to open the swing gate and the tail gate then i can open the lift gate. Its poor imo. My idea is to open a lot like a solid garage door so that it opens into the cab. This is because the spare tire would stop the lift from opening otherwise. Just stuff I'm throwing around.

forgot to mention. We had a skid steer with tracks come out to pull the trucks out. It got one out but as it was getting the second it got stuck where i got stuck. Total vindication because i then pulled the skid steer out and yanked the Ram over the trouble area too.

is that an 80 or 70 series cowl?

Wife and I drove 10 hours from mid-Missouri to Athens Alabama for a set of fj60 hubs and axles. They will be used on the '73 pig disc conversion. Now to get the hydroboost out of my storage container and get busy. Wish we were able to drive the pig.

you must have flipped the negative, the cluster is on the wrong side.

Hehe, showing age and ignorance.
