Tuned up the 400 sbc with new wires and plugs. Ome wire was burnt almosr all the way through. Set the timing and figured out the vacuum advance was hooked up to the port on the carb for the transmission downshift. Swapped it to the correct port. Runs a heck of a lot better.

That is cool! I have not seen a pic of your Pig for a long time... How about a Pig Selfie?

No, not really. The fabulous Elyse made a great Photo Chop for me and I could not resist! It was getting too quiet in here - where is everyone?
Nice work on Photoshop! It had me fooled.

Admittedly, I like the pink.:pig:

Hoping to replace a steering wheel today.

Thought I saw a freeborn red and white 55 on here with the powdercoated handles, but for the life of me, I can't find it again.

Did you end up replacing with chrome handles again?

Thanks
Dan

I found the thread I was thinking of with the powdercoated handles etc - it's the FZJ55 build over in the 40 section

If this was meant for me...I ended up starting with the powdercoating (sandblasted first), but was unhappy with the results. I was told that that type of metal bubbles when cooked and so leaves bubble marks. Ended up having mine lightly sanded and then painted with "super paint". I am worried about the rubbing and hence paint wearing off on the plunger, so Pablocruise is getting a kinda teflone gasket made! Like what was oringinally there. Will make them perfect when you push them in. Can't wait!!!!!

Just drove it to the office after sitting in the garage for almost 3 weeks. Made going in to work on a beautiful Sunday a bit more bearable....
