Follow my 60 build link in my signature line. I did those cargo panels this weekend so they are at the end of the thread. It also has what adhesive and staples listed there too.

Headliner material I use is approx 1/8" thick. I buy it at Hancock Fabric for 14.99 a yd.

Thanks man!

I too am in the process of making new door cards. I am making them out of PVC foam board. You can get it at sign shops. If you're careful, you can make all of them with one sheet. 3mm was around $12/sheet and 6mm was around $20.

3mm was very similar to the fiberboard in thickness and weight. I went with 6mm because I wanted superior sound deadening properties, as this whole project started because I couldn't hear the radio at highway speeds. I am going to glue carpet to the face (again to absorb sound) and foam to the back wherever I can.

I have rough cut them out, but not much else yet. I was thinking about industrial strength velcro to attach them, but I will most likely drill and screw them in to get a better seal to keep out noise.

Thanks man!

I don't know what impresses me more, the fact I did it with zero experience, tools were a wire wheel and brake hone chucked up in a drill press or that I found the parts to do it that were purchased over 3.5 years ago...

Curious - why do you like the foamboard over the hardboard?
Is that a 4'x8' sheet you have everything laid out on?
Last idea - be careful that padding under mat does not absorb a bunch of moisture and rust cargo area floor...

I liked the PVC because it was waterproof. I think it is a 4x8 sheet. It is a whole sheet, whatever dimensions it comes in.

The padding in the back is actually firewall blanket material and has an aluminum backing (facing?) attached to one side. I put the aluminized side down. The rear cargo area (as well as the entire floor of the rest of the cruiser) was covered by the PO in sound deadening sheets.

I'm hoping this; along with living in the sunny south; will keep any rust gremlins at bay.

Any tips and/or ideas are greatly appreciated.

I was about to wrap up my wheel cyl rebuild :wrench: and then I noticed that in 1.5 years since taking it apart, I had lost one of the brake bleeders :o :crybaby:.... only thing missing... Went to a few parts stores and had one guy try to sell me something that had no chance at working... too short in length and wrong thread pitch all together.....

Anyone have a part number to order one from? For '68 Piggy w/ drums, rear, original wheels cylinders (if it matters)

While I'm at it, I should probably switch to a dual circuit Master Cyl as well... Go to the pick-a-part and get one from '80's mini truck with booster? Eventually I will want disks at each corner, but right now I just want to drive it around.... :steer:

Thanks!!!

got one adjuster cup on the wrong end...I may has your bleeder:doh:

Are they not available OTC at parts store?
I wanted to get e few next time I go to bench bleed a master...

Not at the local O'Reily's, AutoZone and another place on North College in Ft Collins... One of them tried to sell me something that was the wrong diameter and pitch.... with the bleeder I didn't loose in his hand... The cats at Car Quest said they think they know what I need and it will be here in the morning....

You are in FTC?!?
How did I not know that...

Got the fuel tank back from the radiator shop, and I gave it a nice coating on the inside. It'll have plenty of time to cure in the next few weeks as I patch up the transmission tunnel, holes on the floor, fabricate seat mounts for the mercedes buckets, and run new fuel lines.
