@Pitch or @wtmtnterror or anyone else, will you make me a fridge slide out for my Engel 63?

I would bet that I have $175 into my home made fridge slide. The 500# lock in/out pulls were >$100 by themselves (best price I found was Orr and Orr). While I saved coin, and was happy with my results, I understand why finished slides retail for so much. That being said the $1k slides like those from Tembo Tusk are 3x what I paid for my fridge!

And unfortunately Brice, I just have way too many other projects in the cue right now. Good luck!

Thanks Saddletramp, put the bumper on this morning...looks much better.
Oh yeah, put new BFG's on it yesterday :)

Plugged a recessed hitch into the stock 80 bumper, and braced it in the rear. It is only ever going to tow my M416 or haul a bike rack.

I need to build a swingout next, but until then, the spare will live in the cargo area. I could still use the hoist, but then the 35 looks like a saggy diaper under there. (Pardon some of the bird$h!+ welds, I ran out of gas on the last two passes in the picture above.)

FWIW I think you will be fine, I pull my M1101 around wood cutting with a pintle bolted up there. It's curb weight is 1460lb

^^^Cali-style^^^

Yeah, the tongue weight of the m416 is probably only 110#. I think it will be fine.

I spent a few hours straightening body panels on the gx while in wait for wheels and bumpers. Headlights are now on

Chose the lighter grey wheels. Bumpers and sliders will be color matched.

Put the new radiator in the 200. Didnt go with OEM just because of immediate availability. I should have waited for the OEM. Not impressed, but regardless it's in. I will probably go back to an OEM in the not too distant future for peace of mind long term. The old one still had a little bit of Moab left over from our October 2015 trip.

Repaired my floppy mirror. Missing the clip so I used the pipe and nut fix. Not as tight as OEM but I can add a couple of washers if it's an issue. Ultimately would like to source another black drivers mirror as thr motor sounds a bit poor.

got the new bumper on yesterday - meticulously prepped and painted by Tools and inkpot :bounce:

but I am already planning to go in a different direction . . . (yeah, I know, I swore that would never happen to me )

if anybody is in the market for a Metaltech bumper, send a PM or e-mail, please - comes brand new with all the mounting hardware, you remove, I have the tools - Metaltech will not be selling this bumper anymore, I hear

Well this past weekend, I finally got around to installing the MAF Rear Disc Brake kit I purchased from Claudia over a year ago. Man, I can only say some directions would have been nice...

Bracket installed on outside of axle mounting location, Rotor would not fit! Attempt # 1. Bracket on back of axle mounting location, spacers behind bracket, between axle mounting holes... Caliper would NOT fit on rotor... Removed spacers, attempt # 3 reinstalled bolts... Caliper still would not fit. Took a breath... Went online to MAF and NO DIRECTIONs there... But, there were some pictures... Studied the pictures and realized the caliper bleed valves go into the angled portion of the bracket(s) which needs to be UP! Then I realized there was a right and left caliper... Total Noob, I know!!!

Attempt # 4 on side passenger side... Bracket in place, NO SPACERS, lightly mounted, put rotor on, held in place with lug nut. Caliper mounted right up, no issues... Looks like what I saw in the photos... Removed the rotor, and synched everything up... Re-hung the rotor, mounted the tire temporarily while I did the other side.

On to side 2... disconnected the brake line in... Popped out the axle, removed the (6) bolts holding the backing plate on and removed the entire drum brake as a single unit. Beat undoing everything first like the other side and was totally unnecessary... Hung the bracket, and repeated the same as the other side... First time here and it worked... WOW!!!

Here are a few pics...

More pics... Not sure why they are the full images... Only wanted Thumbs... SORRY! Going to try to fix that on this post!

Still have to install my proportioning valve, bleed the brakes and refill my differential. Fun project ALL and ALL despite my obvious errors to start with, but I will blame that on having no directions... Definitely made it a PITA at first!
