Before this ROTM I installed our new white knuckle sliders. They are some heavy sliders but I'm really impressed with the quality and design.

Spent the weekend in Moab with the wife and three kids in the '12 4Runner. Drove Long Canyon from Dead horse down to the river. DO NOT RECOMMEND IN THE MUD. REPEAT. DO NOT RECOMMEND IN THE MUD. Can't reiterate enough. Driving next to 500 ft cliffs is not enjoyable with the kids and dog in the back of the vehicle...

The old girl is going in to get new front bearings rotors pads and having the drive shaft removed cleaned and greased. Should alleviate some of the excessive road noise I've been feeling/hearing from the front and stop the drive shaft pop just after leaving a stop. Will be doing the rear rotors pads and bearing next along with the rear springs upper and lower control arms and panhard bar. After that she should ride close to new...

Beautiful little connector between dead horse state park or canyon lands and the Colorado river. 313 to 279. Go when it's not raining!

On my 1992, Coconino; heater valve core and all upper coolant lines replaced (near the firewall).

On my 1997, Kaibab;
1) Rear axle seals were replaced, bearings inspected and replaced with new Timken/Koyo units and packed accordingly (leaking was pointed out by LCP on the Casner run a few months back)-easy and a straight forward job, and much less intensive than doing a front end.

2) my exhaust flanges and O2 sensor flanges were pretty crusty. Numerous leaks were appearing, and resulting in exhaust-related CEL codes. So, a new Magnaflow downpipe and catalytic converter were put in its place. Fit was OK, but the new system is about 3/8" shorter than the OEM. I will need to keep an eye on things. I was pretty PO'ed, however. After getting the whole system installed, and tightened down the O2 sensor bung had weld splatter from the manufacturing process in the recess. So, I got to remove it again, file out the whole and reinstall. Seems all good now. The new Y pipe is definitely less restrictive than the OEM unit.

3) Then, I moved on to the front axle. I knew there was a broken knuckle stud in there, but was not sure where the break was (passenger side). So I pulled the steering arm, and found that my timetable for a front axle rebuild just got moved up. I am not going to try and fix it on the vehicle. All parts on hand: Cruiser Outfitters knuckle rebuild kit, new studs, cone washers, etc.

Rear EATON E-Locker was finally tested in my 80 today at Lake Saguaro. Thank you to Murf and to his CBT team for making this happen. What a HUGE difference! I went with a fully locked 80 and a rear locked 100. The one advantage of this locker is no servo and instant locking capabilities. No matter what angle you're in, or what situation you're in, you turn the magic dial and it locks instantly. I can't remember the last time I had so much fun, especially attacking majority of the nasty rolls at Lake Saguaro. If you're looking for an aftermarket e-locker for your 80, I would consider the Eaton E-locker. One simple cable running directly to the dial, and that's it. No, there is no indicator to tell you that you're locked and no relay that you can hear. But when your rear slips and you turn the dial and continue on with ease, you know it's working. I was not planning on a front locker so I settled for the 100 series rear locker dial switch. So simple to use! the rig it was mounted on is a 97 LX450 OME2861/2862 springs with Bilstein HD's and 30mm front spacers and no rear swaybar.

I was just wondering that. Will try, I think I have the original disk... I will report back.

You and I have very similar problem. Screen freezes at same places, except mine freezes with graphic displayed and yours goes blank. I think gen4 drive should fix your problem. I found mine from car-parts.com, cheaper than ebay.

you went from Rogue one to Empire strikes back!
