What did you do on your 70 series today?

Thank you both. That’s now on the list of stuff to be ordered once I track down the part number for early 79 series window moulding clips.
are you talking about the little clips that hold the squeegee on the door for the window glass?

Is there a data sheet for the relays that state they can run 24v? They are stamped as 12vView attachment 4130513
If they can handle 24v, it would be great, as sourcing 24v can sometimes be a pain in the a$$

I replaced mine with 24v relays and I personally wouldn’t run headlights on a 24v system with 12v relays. Plenty of people do.

See my build thread. Denso part numbers included. They are Hino parts.

The relays will work for a while, I've had to replace a couple and keep a spare in the glove box. Picture of the data sheet I found is in this post:

Replaced my master cylinder with the correct stock version. Old master cylinder had a 1.0625" bore and was too large for the stock brakes, making the pedal really hard with little modulation. Used a kit so I could "bench bleed" the master cylinder in the truck which made this a snap. I'll be putting the old master cylinder up for sale in the classifieds if anyone is interested.

In situ bench bleeding:

Install complete, brakes have nice modulation now. Bore is 22mm.

Here's the old master cylinder, nice that they cast the bore in the housing!

Did the bench bleed kit make a small mess when re-attaching hard lines?
No, had a rag underneath and just unscrewed the barb fitting from the kit and was able to dump most of the fluid in the hoses back in the reservoir. I only ended up with 6 drops or so on the rag once complete. Saves a ton of time performing the final bleed to all the pistons.

Been a long time coming... but well worth it! After collaborating with Truck Vault on the layout for the 75, this is the result! Super happy how this came out. If anyone wants the information on sizing plus the CAD data, PM me. Might not be as pimp as @Meshal and the crews in Saudi, but close. Also, @wardharris here's another option for bed storage.

would the wood be exposed to the elements?

would the wood be exposed to the elements?
Yes, the wood is exposed but it’s teak so I can varnish or oil it for preservation. If I go with oil, it will get a nice patina over time. The teak on my boat is closing in on 60 years old in a marine environment so for this application it should be fine.

Finally got the hydronic Espar diesel heater to work (on the ground). Tomorrow goes on the frame behind the fuel tank. We finally have instant hot water and heat at night with a thermostat. The harness provided is not to my liking, so I'll clean it up before install.

I have that same heater in my camper. It has been running continuously for about 18 months now. Diesel heaters have come a long way! I bought the gasoline version for my troopy.

Where did you install it? I stuck mine behind the fuel tank.

On our sprinter we also added heated floors.
