hmmm strange, these are the parts. I just bent the festoon holder pieces a bit and everything went in like before. yes much tigher but it seemed ok. I did have to source slighly longer sheet metal screws for the LED bulbs in the old housing but that was really the the only snag I ran into?I didn't do much lately to the HZJ77. It is cold down here (by Texan standards).
I did get a couple of dome lights where the part number is for a newer 76 series (81240-22081-B2). I wanted to get all the trim pieces matched up to the grey color rather than the original tan (some yellowing tan) colors of the original trim pieces.
@sleepydad69 did the same thing to his HZJ77 but I am not sure if he ordered the same part numbers because I hit a minor snag with the new pieces. I already knew they are 12V but that is just a matter of the bulb itself and I thought I could easily just swap out the LED lights I already had but they won't work so I will need to get some 30mm festoon bulbs that go into the housing directly ( thanks to the advice of @ATL Cruiser ). Not a big deal and can get some with just a few clicks on Amazon. The original 24V bulbs I had saved did not work as a temp measure because the whole unit inside the new 12V housing is actually shorter for the 30mm bulbs.

Builds - 1997 HZJ77HV-PEU Build (Grey Poupon)
pulled the cluster to replace bulbs I was not able to find the godzilla green ones and I did try to take the old green stuff off the bulbs but it was pretty toasted, oh well I'm ok with losing the godzilla green bulbs. I grabbed 8 extra small lights and pulled them out of the bases to replace...forum.ih8mud.com
I thought about bending the new festoon holder pieces back more but being new parts, I didn't want to break it. I figured just getting the smaller bulbs was a safer bet. I was still able to use the same screws because the missing raised posts is actually on the backside of the new housing (didn't get a photo of this) so it wasn't an issue reusing the screws.
oddiron offroad led lights, check out their site, they are on this forumI didn't do much lately to the HZJ77. It is cold down here (by Texan standards).

His dome light kits are an Odd Iron product but is designed for the earlier 70 Series dome lights. We didn’t realize there was a difference and may need to do some additional R & D.oddiron offroad led lights, check out their site, they are on this forum

“Patience Young Grasshopper” ….Well don't leave us hanging now.....you have any details?
“Patience Young Grasshopper” ….
I will try to get more details after Christmas. (The shop is closed until Monday).
Only folks with actual talent have keys, so no.You don't have your own set of keys!
I wouldn't recommend heading south for warmer weather. We were 18° (F) at daybreak with windchill in the single digits and I'm only about 80 miles from the gulf coast.
Looks like a Alaskan spruce treeI told my wife that if we waited until close to Christmas we would get a bargain on a tree. Turns out I was right.View attachment 3201403
