Finished the bumper today and got the winch mounted.
Also took time to paint the gray Lowe's fatigue mat black to match the floor mats in the rest of the floor rubber. Used gloss black vinyl can fabric spray paint from the auto parts store

Just about finished up.

however the drivers side brake is really tight. Can only spin it with the tire on so I’m not sure if it’s stuck, or I have something cockeyed or I just didn’t open the caliper enough when I pushed it on.

also rebuilt the brake master cylinder, just need to bleed it.

also rotated tires and cleaned the other 2 with CLR.

Tacked the rack that goes on my rear swing out.
Followed that with some very bad stick welding.
After the traditional warping, the vertical arms are only about 3mm out of parallel or plumb or something.
Metal box will be bolted and plastic box will get a surrounding cage rail.

My wife no longer takes our oldest dog on her daily run so while she went running with the younger sibling I took my buddy for a cruise in the LJ73

Got a bugger up from the PO sorted. A bit of a noise from the rear driveline led me to giving the leaf suspension a work over and found broken springs neatly held in place by the military wrap around on the second leaf. what started the chain of events is that he replaced the front spring bushes with Poly bush but retained the OEM bolt which is too thin so he put a metal sleeve inside the polybush which was not long enough to fit snugly between the chassis supports and too thin for the bolt. this also allowed him to make the bolt too tight and actuallt y bend the chassis plate. brokend leaves replaced and correct bush and pin used.

Anyone know if this tan color is the same as the tan tacomas currently offered?

I don't think so, I think the new TuRD tan is a bit darker than that. I like the new tan though.

The TRD tan is called 'quicksand' not sure what the old 70 series beige is, the 'new' 70 tan is sandy taupe according to this thread:

Gengis: I love pics like that showing the PO damage. Makes me feel competent.

Who’s rear bumper is that?
Well, it's my bumper, but Jason Trail Tailor sold it to me as a kit.
I decided to use the left arm for storage rather than jerry can action.

Thank you, but a bit of shame on me as well, I drove it like that for a while , noticing a slight hum ocasionaly, but not really checking it out properly. I don't load heavily or wheel, so I guess I'm excused a little. Thank the Great Spirit for the military wrap arounds, they held it all together.

Added some portable shade today which in Southern Georgia means I can go from 100° to 95°. :)
The LED lighting added by ARB is a nice feature.

It's to damn hot in Southern Georgia to spend much time outside so I was killing time browsing "Toyota LandCruiser 76 Station Wagon" page on Facebook. I was obviously impressed with all of their 76 Series Land Cruisers and thought their group photo was way cool.

Installed an OME add-a-leaf in my front springs along with some 2° caster wedges. Doesn't look much taller but maybe it'll still hold itself up when I purchase a real bullbar.

also gained a ton of overlander points with the Front Runner table I got for an early father's day present:
