I grew up in Maryland which is still the same way I think. Get it inspected before a sale and never again.
VA is inspection every year. I am in violation right now.

Right now where I am, most restaurants are still take-out/pick-up/drive-thru only. Those that are open for dine-in are only operating at 25% capacity. I decided to eat my Subway today in the 77 back seating area with the windows down since it was not so hot during my lunch break. I don't normally eat in a car, but the solitude of doing so was pretty nice for a change.

At least with the windows down you'll be able to hear the folks walking by and saying "cool Jeep".

Haha...people did say that to me before with the FJ73 and PZJ70 while I owned them but never has happened with the HZJ77.

Sure, just use them as packing for a nice new set of Aurora 7" lights 🤞
The 7" Auroras are fantastic. I'm running them on my Ute.

Had a nice experience taking my boy exploring today. Went out exploring some dirt roads/tracks on some nearby "wildlife managment/open/public land" that I hadn't been on in 15 years. To my pleasant surprise there were plenty of unimproved dirt tracks and trails that weren't signed/gated/or fenced off as vehicles prohibited. Still explorable/enjoyable by vehicle. .............This was a nice contrast to a national forest I used to off road and ride dirt bikes in as a teen in the 80's. Back then trails were open year round all the time, no signs, no fences, no BS. Now it's closed most of the time and definately after ever rain with signs everywhere telling you what is prohibited............My 5 year old is ecstatic every time I go through a big puddle or water crossing. We found a few today.

Great story and it's good that you're involving your 5 year old but as with most stories, they're even better with photos. :)

My truck has both a HAM and remotely located CB radio, both of which are located in the overhead panel. While the HAM microphone / cord is fairly small and doesn't present an issue, the CB cord is another story.

reminds you that it's there by whacking you in the side of the head every time you get off of smooth pavement. It's now been moved to the other side where it can whack the passenger in the head. :)

Blasted, epoxy primed and top coated the fan shroud after entirely removing the the lip or flange it once had. I had good results with incredibly expensive auto body grade 2K urethane paint. Need to buy some rubber material to run along the sheet metal edge where the lip was spot welded.
I got the new 8 blade fan and its clutch mounted on the new water pump. I still cannot figure out how to fill the coolant system at one go... I always have to keep topping it up over time. (yes, I put the other rad hose on before filling)

Used goofy gimmick zip tie to lash down the t-stat overflow tube.

Put another 1500km's on the Troopy this weekend while visiting the Austin Hill Country to ride the Three Sisters on the bikes while camping in an empty campground with the troopy. Social distancing guaranteed at the camp ground ;-)
