Will add pic when unloaded but been doing some modifying to my small (previously unpractical) trailer. Added higher walls and support for the tongue. So much sturdier now and much better for hauling. First big load up!!

Sometimes it’s the simplest things…the high beams on the 80 weren’t working. Rechecked my wiring to a relay convert everything to H4. That was all good. I unplugged the high beams connector to clean up the wiring and never plugged it back in.

I’ve been scouring ebay / mud / carparts for a while for deal on fresher looking oem wheels and finally found a set from a wreck down in AL. They’re the LX450 version and one’s a little more scuffed up than the others, but these are gonna be a sweet improvement.

I have sanded and painted several sets of 80 wheels, including the ones on my 96. It is not that big of a deal and I buy the paint from Advance. Happy to discuss with you.
Plus 80 wheels look much better! You can tape off the spokes and paint the two tone.

I have been in the 40 game for quite a while. Recently I have purchased 5 80's in different shape. They keep showing up. This one is a little special because of the way it came to me. I got an email from someone saying their beloved 80 had caught fire and did not know what to do. I swapped emails for a while and then when I was going to go look at it, we both found out it had gone to the auction house. She said it was still hers and that she had insurance on it. I went to look at it and agreed on the "buy back" amount. When I was going to meet her, she said her son-in-law told her...

My co workers and I just decommissioned three of these things off a cell tower. Its some pretty solid aluminum railing. If anyone wants some let me know. I can bring it to the group meeting tomorrow.

Spent the morning searching short pump for some new camping plates... no luck. Welded some D rings to trailer and mounted my new Iron Man quick release mounts on my awning. Had to buy two sets but now I can quickly go on and off and switch to the 80 for those Overland adventures!!
