I like the idea and I'm onto something similar with a guy local to Richmond. Will let you know what happens with it.....Donor car? You take the front differential I want the rear and we can part the rest out

The 200For what vehicle? I thought the locker cured the 100 front diff issue??
If you have 4:10's now, I do not think 4:30's would be worth the effortBelieve I may start sourcing parts for a 4.30 swap, 100 rear and tundra/sequoia front diff oem 4.30s
4.10s would be nice, I have 3.9s stock. Would jump to 4.88s but supposedly the 4.30s are perfect for 35s and it's direct bolt in for 5-600$If you have 4:10's now, I do not think 4:30's would be worth the effort
Did you find a parts truck? i am needing a non rusty rear hatch. Or alot less rusty than mine lolI like the idea and I'm onto something similar with a guy local to Richmond. Will let you know what happens with it.....
The deal fell through sadly. Will keep you in mind in the future though.Did you find a parts truck? i am needing a non rusty rear hatch. Or alot less rusty than mine lol
Super nice! I just screenshotted another thread of this before seeing yours. Look forward to seeing in person I already have the struts to do the project!Snazzy gas strut lifted hood now! Opens a little wider too. No new holes in the truck, just drilled out a couple rivets to harvest that top bracket from the pretty wimpy factory spring. Only hiccup is that it wants to be open so bad that the secondary release is a little tight.

You got this! My neighbor just pulled his engine bc he broke the worst one!!! You can do it lolNext up. valve cover gaskets. They are basically an emergency. While I was watching it run and looking for atf leaking I could see oil weep out from the vc and hit the exhaust.
I'll try to tackle that this weekend. Pray I don't break any.
That's not what I want to hear...You got this! My neighbor just pulled his engine bc he broke the worst one!!! You can do it lol
with the proper drill and bits, all can be done in the engine bay. Try to clean the backside of the lower bolts with a brush and smear some grease on them to help lube them out. work them in and out.You got this! My neighbor just pulled his engine bc he broke the worst one!!! You can do it lol

Oh and cut the ps lines and use a ratcheting wrench.
I’ll be out of town on my bumper retrieval / work trip next Tuesday, but glad to show ya any time. I looked at a few of those posts too. The HJ61 body holes in the engine bay were a little different than the FJ posts I saw. That changed a couple things, but otherwise a piece of cake.Super nice!
