That escalated quickly. Having some fun and learning how to disassemble parts that I care less about braking...

Had a nice afternoon of outfitting yesterday. Thanks to the recent DavidP / Land Shark transaction I finally solved my spare tire management issue. Also thanks to Land Shark for the helpful suggestion to modify my original drawer/platform system to work with the Bellfab, which allows me to keep my drawer, table, and sleeping surface almost as it was (just a single now and not a double).

And after all that, the GX got some love too with the ARB drawer / slider top system I picked up the day before to use on the 80 per my original plan. Mounted easily to the Victory4x4 floor system I already had in there.

I know I've asked in the past but where did you get that wooden table from? Love the slimness of it.

Whoever built my drawer system included that sweet table as part of the package. Pretty simple concept with the way they packaged it all together with the adjustable, collapsible legs, I’ll show you at Relic.

You can buy folding table legs from rockler or the like. I was thinking of making something similar since a small folding table doesn't quite fit with my drawers

That table is saweet! Very easy to make. Get the legs like @captainva suggested and a piece of plywood and stain/seal it and you are good to go.

While yall West End’ers were enjoying camaraderie and YJs, I downed a few YJs solo on the Southside while sinking more $$ into this bottomless pit. Couldn’t pass up the recent deals for a Prinsu and had to hop on it….I’m impressed with the end product for sure. Weekend will be spent prepping and checking the rig over for next week’s event. Can’t wait!

Nearly done with the knuckle / axle / tie rod job. All sorts of worn hardware in need of replacement, parts frozen together, missing pieces, etc. etc. etc. In the end, she’s got new knuckle hardware, rcvs, steering arms, new tie rod ends and (when they get here today) new locking hubs. Got a little driveway front end alignment kit and did that this morning — a lot easier than I expected. Famous last words, but should be dialed in for Relic Run!

Rolling!

Have the front end with tires on and all bolts torqued. Morning will be putting rear tires on and filling diff with oil. Forgot how well the 37’s looked on the 80.

Looking forward to this test drive tomorrow.

Looks like we all have a lot of last minute things to do. I will be working on mine as well. Will post up later.

Seems like the new starter didn’t fix the intermittent starting I was having. But did pull the 80 out of the garage and as of now the lockers disengage and re-engage.

Will dive deeper into it later but up for any suggestions. Have an Easter dinner to participate in so my research will happen later.

Check all connectios, pos and ground. Could also be in ign switch. Have someone turn key and check for signal at solenoid.

Got the old block out last week and the new one came this week. OEM gasket kit is coming in wednesday. Gonna get new engine mounts for it too.

Turbo is rebuilt, that was actually a whole lot easier than expected.

We ended up pulling my buddies engine to replace the rear main seal. Thats also going to make it a whole lot easier to work on the front suspension. He's planning on new bushings and ball joints

Are you planning to push higher turbo pressure with your rebuild? If yes, you might want to consider ARP head studs.
The ARP studs are a grand, so thats not in the cards any time soon.
To safely push more power on this engine I need..
-Front mount intercooler
-High flow airbox/3" exhaust
-Modern turbo
-ARP studs
-UniChip and tune
-Valve body upgrade
Those are definitely on the list, but not this list.
