what about these fender parts?

these front fender parts (taken from Spectre's cat.), number 405 (shock cover) and 406 (shock retainer), are not present on my truck. Does anyone have a picture of these units? Does anyone sell them?

I don't have them on mine. As a matter of fact I've never seen them until the picture above. I'll almost bet #405 is a rubber flap.

That's what I thought too, a rubber cover to keep splashes in the wheelwell from coming in over the shock tower, and a metal retainer.

SOR has those listed, but the price will get your attention fast around $650 if I recall correctly.

That heat sheild is a press board insulation sound damper. The BJ40's have them. I think they were available on later model 40's also?

i have those items fitted on the toyota bj 42 from 1982
i'll try to post some pic's later, don't buy them, they are easy homemade just cut some rubber.

Wow! If that's true, then how to account for the dramatic price difference between SOR and Toyota for that part?

I do have those, the rubber i simply cut them to fit the retainer and go around the shock. Get the retainer and a piece of 1/8 rubber. I can try to get you some pictures.

the number i gave you is for 1977-1979...maybe they have other years that you cant get from toyota anymore?
