Very nice, I was looking at the front bib was chrome. Where can I buy one for my fj40?

Please e-mail me
thanks

contact orange45 here on the forum. That is where I got that one.

Congrats on the sale.
What's the next project?

Decided to do a frame off on a '74 honda st90 mini bike. That is if it does not sell. Found a nice parts source. Going to South Dakota during spring break. Might have to do a small detour to get that '71 hilux...

Talk to Yooper and Dieseldog here on the boards about the st90s. I have found the CT90s much easier to get parts for. Post some picks in the motorbike section!

Nice Cruiser. It's freakin sweet

Whats This

I have been wondering what this thing is. PO put a kwik wire harness in it and left this unhooked. but it has a vacuum line running over to my slave cylinder. also where did you hide your wiring. it looks like a rats nest under my hood and i hate it, but yours looks perfect.
thing.webp

That is the vsv port thingy where all of the vacuum lines would attach. I know I am prolly wrong on the "vsv" but that is definately for the lines. Rig was desmogged.
All of the wiring came out of the cowl- ran along the fenders. I had the oem harness, rebuilt, so it fit perfect. Also used oem plastic clips to "clip" in the harness on the fenders. Really fed the headlights and a couple of other things. Hope that helps.

great job

My first post! Great looking 75. I just purchased my first cruiser and already love it although I have only drivin' it around the pasture, no brakes yet! Its nice to see another 75 that looks so good. I just finished a 1953 chevy 3/4 ton last year, frame off, lots of work and money! I am looking foreword to something new and the FJ is real easy to work on. The only thing I have no idea of is a little electrical connection to the lower left of the steering wheel that is on a small bracket. It looks stock but has no wire to it, it almost looks like a lock mechanism with a little flip plate on front, any ideas?:bang:

welcome:flipoff2:.
And thanks. Not sure what you mean. I did have 2 butt connectors not connected. Something to do with an upgraded model. Tell me what pic and maybe I can help.

Isn't that were the voltage regulator was on the 75, and if your alternator is newer it may not be needed.

Wow! What a beautiful 40. I have a 77 freeborn red one that I drive daily. I pulled it out of the weeds with a rod sticking out of the block. Its in pretty decent shape. You got me thinking with that restore! Top Notch work!

Thanks-
Get it done. Don't wait too long. OEM parts are rapidly disappearing.

You are correct. Pretty sure I sold that or included that in the sale.

WELL DONE SIR! Your finished rig is motivating me to get started on mine.
Thank you very much.
Just located a '75 and a '76 within 15 min. of my house. I am getting the "itch" again. Said '76 is a mini barn find. He has 5 engines, multiple glass, transmissions , and different nice bits. He lives in DE but owns a building here in WI. Said '76 is mustard and a complete truck, sitting on a car hauler...
Thanks
