So far it's been a crazy winter. Figured it might be nice to see it all in one area.

Oh and you need to go ahead and wrap all your outside faucets and drain your pipes and close off any crawl space vents. They are calling for a low of 7 degrees on Wednesday for Greenville and around 4 in Asheville.

Very cool. Been watching the dynamics building for next week for a few days now.

Looks to be crazy cold with lots of precip. Could be fun!!

Great idea

Failing to plan is planning to fail.
Generators are standing by. Gundy, Big and the 80
are gassed and good to go. Big ol bag of a Duke's ,
bread and milk stocked. Gas grills ready. Candles and
lanterns checked. Cord of wood split. My back is about 85 %.
Cabin's potbelly stove and fireplace ready.
Turkey is in Da house.
Bring it on!

Thanks Marshall. Great idea, got it all in one place.

6-10"? Calling for a repeat of Christmas Day in CLT with freezing rain and sleet on top of it. (read: no fun)

as Andy's map shows we here in Augusta are looking for a couple inches of snow followed by a CRIPPLING ice storm  I HATE ICE STORMS!!!!

On a positive note the mountains are getting crushed with snow at the moment.... 15" at my folks place in Maggie with easily 12" more to come out of this storm. It is going to be epic up there :cheer:

Got a friend that works for the USAF weather bureau here in Asheville, he says that some of their models show it slowing a bit, which could produce up to 20" of snow in the mountains, that would be almost catastrophic for this area, we see how the NE handled that...

Only calling for rain/ freezing rain here...
I won't be going any where if there's a chance for ice.
Nobody down here even slows down for it.

Where I am north of Atlanta, we are right on the line between 3-5" and 5-7"... hoping for the 5-7 without a ton of ice to cover it up. Needless to say, the city will be shut down completely for 48 hours starting tonight around 9:00.

Good thing I stocked up on beer yesterday!

Forecasted precip amounts dropped some yesterday with a large amount of dry air that is entering the picture but this recent chart still looks good for our area, just keeping fingers crossed for less ice / freezing rain and more snow:
