Yep, if I had a wireless, I'd definitely keep a wired remote on hand also. The wired remotes are usually very long anyways.

I agree, also another point is that for how often you use your winch, when the time comes to use it, how many years has that wireless remote been in your glove box without ever having the batteries changed??:bang:
Just one more thing to put on an annual maintenance list. :(

Personally, I do not like cordless tools. I'm not a contractor and don't used them every day, week or even month, and the few I have, have always been dead when time comes to use them. Give me a corded tool any day. Thus why I have a 3,000 watt pure sine inverter in my rig. ;)

About the only things I have that are rechargeable are my phone and my Garmin Solar Tactical watch. But since my Garmin is solar powered, usually don't even need to charge that as long as I'm diving "trucker" style, with left arm on the window sill getting sun!
The Warn VR wireless remote also includes a cable to plug directly into the winch.

Finally got it on! I'll post up a few things I learned along the way in a bit.

Washer Tank Skid. I am adapting a C4 part to cover my washer tank hoses. While fitting it in place I broke a very brittle head light washer outlet . It was very sloppy plumbing as OEM no issue for the first 100k until someone cut the bumper off a perfectly awesome car. I thought the head washer pump would fit better behind the skid box/plate if it turned a 90 upward just out of the pump. Pictures if progress. 5/16 x 1/4 brass elbow from Amazon.

I got the SSO washer tank cover on mine. Seemed pretty straightforward? It only attaches using the body mount bolt, and didn't have any included hardware. I grabbed a 12mm fine thread nylock nut and some washers. I only have 2 pumps though. The single mount makes it a little flimsy, but I guess it's only there to keep road debris and branches and junk from hitting it. :meh:

The SSO one doesn't fit a three pump GX. I've been hacking on mine.

oooh, faaaaancy! :) Never had a car with headlight washers. Are they worth it?
Not really! More of a headache and complication. That being said, I'm a huge fan of heated seats!!

Not in Arizona. But if you live in the snowy part of the country, the headlights do get really mucked up and those washers are helpful.
Even thought I live down here in So. CA. we spend enough time in Tahoe in the winter that I wish I was able to transfer them over with my MetalTech bumper.

I just figured this out as well. I thought they sent me the wrong piece. I guess we are too “booshie”.
Standby I hope to have a solution by cutting it up, in the next few weeks.

Both sides were pretty tight. It required a bunch of test fittings and trimming. An extra set of hands would of made it much easier.
Both were tight for me as well, but for some reason the left side sat higher. Tried raising the right side but it didn't do much.

A cheap trans jack was absolutely pivotal.

This was my 5th or 6th cut type bumper, second on this vehicle. After the first one I cut (Nissan Xterra) I bought the cheap trany jack. Heck I even use it on rock sliders.

I got around to installing mine as well.View attachment 2903748
Interesting picture on the winch. Not sure if it's just a difference between the Blitz and the Strike, or the 10-13 v 14+, but I found there was no way on the Strike '10-'13 to mount the winch control box on top of the winch, as the PS line just barely clears the winch, let alone the control box. This with a Warn VR EVO 10-s, which has a fairly decent size control box. I ended up mountin the control box right behind the grill on the horizontal brace piece (whatever the technical name for that is).

Definitely have to move the power steering cooler.
