Join the waiting game. I ordered mine on Nov 13, and radio silence since then on status. I guess that's only 5 weeks. In today's "new normal" that's barely a blip. Should have mine in by next Christmas... Who me? Jaded? Nah....
Great... I have a bunch of things to take care of between now and whenever, so time will pass quickly. Waiting on headlight washer retainer clips that broke during removal, I have a Front Runner HAM antenna pivot mount to install and route the cable, ARB air tank, manifold and lines to route before gears and lockers arrive, and front spot lights to mount and wire. I hope it takes a few weeks!

LOL. Call Lee at SSO. He should be there today and can give you an update.

 Checked in with them, and it's (coincidently?) shipping today! They are having phone issues, and the number provided in the email doesn't work, but here's an updated one if anyone needs it: (225) 256-6278. Last piece of the puzzle is the bumper itself, hopefully done soon and shipped. They say "this week", but that's really today, so I'm not expecting it to ship until sometime next week, which is a bummer, since I won't have it over New Year's to work on the install. Winch, lights, and now washer cover will all be sitting here patiently (kinda, not really) waiting...

Maybe I missed it, but what winch did you go with?

If that's a horrible choice, let me know. @Washingtontaco, I know you do a lot of work with winches. Mine will be light duty usage. There's no mud around here to bury me up to the frame. It's still in the box... I can still return it for a few more days

Folks do well with Smittybilt winches. Each to their own.

If I didn't have a Warn I'd seriously look at Come Up. I had a good conversation with the owner at SEMA in 2019.

Try to remote mount the solenoid box to afford better winch line/drum access and visibility.

FYI on the supplied blinkers for the strike bumpers. I was having issues with the blinker grounding. On one end of the blinker the attach fastener is the ground. One of the blinkers was intermittent, I removed some of the rubber grommet around fastener added a couple washers and it seemed to have fixed the issue.

I will update if this turns out to be a continuing issue.

By this time in the use of LED replacement blinkers one one think that a resistor would be added to the circuit to stop hyper blinkers, or at least Victory would supply one. Anyone have a resolution for this? In line resistor, if so what Ohm?

On the 13 the blinkers are in the head light so I haven’t hooked the up yet. I did notice the ground was on the ring side of the assembly to be installed as needed. I am going to install extra nuts on the front side of the fixture to complete the ground.

Pictures worth a thousand words. I will turn the Grade eight bolts around on final assembly. No this is not a jack lifting point by any means but it will protect the bottom of the washer tank. I did add a brace to the bumper. I had the cut one mounting tab off the C4 tank cover since the through frame 5/8 Victory4x4 bolt is in the same location .

Grade 8 bolts a little over kill?
I would've just gone with 316 SS button head sockets, but I absolutely agree with the nylon insert lock nuts! I use them on anything bolt to my rig. 👍

Nice work. I had the same issue on my previous 2010 FJC. I made a new ww tank for it out of a generic coolant overflow tank and mounted it up above in the engine compartment, but I suspect that would be more difficult for the GX as it has at least 3 washer pumps.

The grade 8 bolts are from parts from my race car days. They are from the early 90’s . I just love using parts left over from past builds on new projects.
My Dad sold nuts and bolts for years and he gave me those . He went to be with the Lord this year and I loved adding those bolts he gave me on this build.

Yes three pumps on the windshield washer models. The two pump models are easier to cover for sure.

My bumper finally shipped! :bounce: :bounce2:

It will arrive next week almost 5 months to the day that I ordered and paid for it. Not thrilled about that part, but stoked to get it on, along with the winch and lights. That "should" for the most part complete my build plans. Famous last words...

Be sure to inspect the welds and joint fitment.

Remember that some welds are welded only on one side and ground for looks. I built one from kit for my Suzuki and experienced twisting when I welded the seam on both sides. The mfg of the kit suggested that it would be best if the bumper could collapse some during a major Colision or you just end but with a bent vehicle frame . Just a thought.

Yes, fully aware of this. Victory agreed with my assessment of the first bumper I received and replaced it with a new one.
