I will agree…in 7 days I got my rear window removed and the door re-painted…but that’s it.
My wife and I did that college move with my daughter in downtown Philadelphia with a hi-top van and a u-haul trailer decades ago. More than nerve wracking given the parking on a one- way narrow street and moving furniture to the 12th floor.

Looking forward to the continued amazing progress

Got up early and got the passenger side done.

Move in went great.

I felt like s*** all day but I pushed through.

Got hammered with fever about 10 pm. Woke up and dug this kit out that my company sent me back in the Stazi days.

I’ve not been sick in a little over 10 years so I’m not a good patient.

I eased up to the shop for an hour and built out the steering rods and 555 ends and removed and cleaned the center arm. It was so tight I could not move it by hand. It should be a different steering experience once back together

50mg zinc daily is your friend, now quit stalling and get to work!

In the northeast, Covid seems to be surging again. My daughter called and she tested positive today..Paxlovid, prednisone and an inhaler. They did say it was equally contagious but possibly not as severe… better rest well. Must have been a tiring ride home

I’m rallying pretty good. I went to town and got some Zinc and some tires…..

Before I get to show them off I have to build it all up.

Brakes and then I can mount em up. Taking a break and recharging.

Taking this apart for cleaning, powder and all.

I’ve got one more day tomorrow to work on all this and get it to PowderKeg before I hit the road for a little vacation

Doesn’t look like they used the heater too much

All the parts I want to take to Powder Keg are off the truck.

Lots of cleaning to do when I get back

I’m going to take this condenser to my radiator shop to make sure it’s clear and holds pressure.

Worn out and bleeding from a few spots. Crazy, some of these hoses are original with those twisty clamps.

I need one of the AC idle pulley bearings. Looks just like an FJ60 setup.

AC compressor is same as a 60 , thank God
IMG_2702.jpeg

I’ve got the AC lines and the PS lines pulled and am going to get new ones made by @FJ60Cam These are pretty crusty all around.

Most everything if off that’s coming off. Still cleaning.

What I find really cool is that you show a bad compressor or other part in one picture and ABRACADABRA…. a new part in the next picture… it’s kinda like you have all of this stuff at the tip of your finger.. for me, I have to wait a week or so… I love that instant gratification

AC clutch pulley.

Pretty much all the interior AC stuff is sketchy. I don’t have the controller.

One step at a time. I can’t thing too far ahead.
