Nice. 45 Troopies aren’t easy to find, even in Saudi. The power steering on mine works but the AC doesn’t. I have a new compressor, clutch, and all new hoses. Will be interesting to see how this one progresses.
That’s one place I have zero experience. I don’t have a controller and have no idea the condition of any of the components.

My controller has one missing knob so I bought a new controller from my Yemeni friend. He might have more if you get to that point.

What’s under there? Thats always the question. Some crazy people like Ben and myself love to have the 40 year old story be told by the truck versus shiny new paint.

Shiny OLD paint is what I like. Truly amazing stuff this Toyota single stage.

You can see the contrast versus the fender

I Love Troopy's

What's the plan for the old hard top? Reason I ask, is that I have a soft top, and there are times I wish I had a hard top. Think camping in heavy bear country and winter. If it's looking for a nice home, I might be very interested.

Good luck with another great project. Will be following.

He thinks he does not want it.

I think I want to hold off on getting rid of it.

You are first in line. I’ll let you know if he goes all in on the soft top

is it an OEM top?

We lived in Franklin County Vermont about 6 miles from Jay Peak Ski Area back in 1974 when my FJ40 was brand new…. Within 6 years that Vermont salt turned my 40 into Swiss cheese. @fireball, don’t take it outside !!! 😉

Got the rear lift installed today. These packs are so heavy. The ones I took out were 120# each. New ones 100 but I took 2 leafs out per side
