It's spring time in the Cruiser business so we are working full-steam to keep up with orders & installs and trying to sneak a few minutes here and there on the rear bumper install process. I'm hoping to have time to complete it this week and formalize the BOM, pricing, etc but it just depends on our workload for existing product sales/install.

We have received quite a few emails/calls from excited customers and I wanted to provide a quick update on pricing and ETA of shipping. I won't have any resolute pricing or ETA to offer until we are 100% finished with the prototype install, hardware selection and instructions. I'll be posting it here on Mud the second we have that information available with a part number in our computer to start taking orders but until that time I ask that you keep an eye on this thread for updates. Thanks!

...Tell me that, at the very least, a rear without the spindles/expense of spindles and swing out arms/hardware, is going to be a possibility, please. Even if spindle holes are cut...

Perhaps in phase two, phase one will be getting the complete combo to market. ARB has a neat rear bar only offering that we've been using on various Cruisers so I don't know that there will be enough market for us to do a special run of bars only but we'll ascertain that demand after we get phase 1 shipping to customers smoothly.

Is the hoop a bolt on option that could be removed or added later?

Again, perhaps in phase 2 but all of our initial stock will be the full combo as shown. I can't commit to any special orders at this time as production might rule one onesy-twosy orders.

Hmmm.....may leave little option but to get creative.

Would it be in poor taste to hang truck nutz on the DS carrier?

Fishbowl for the swing-out parties?

Just thinking out loud, because I want it to work. Guess I could mount two jerry cans, two shovels, pick axe, firestick, SAT receiver and two hi-lifts, but, unlike the domestic, off-road brethren, I don't need as much to differentiate mine from the 'others' in the concrete jungle.

If anyone else has been relegated to the phase two crowd and disheartened, now'd be a good time to verbalize and make the case for adjudication.

Edited: humorous, if not evident.

Come on... I know you can at least unbolt stuff. Set it in the storage locker for another day. Perhaps this is a good time to invest in a plasma cutter in order to modify said bumper and make your 73 stand out in the crowd. Ha...!

If the bumpers come w/o a front hoop I kind of like that I can build my own... although I did like the single hoop on the prototype bumper.

@cruiseroutfit when finished, will you weigh the complete set-up?

You bet, I should have those soon as we are working out shipping options on these.

Rear mounting is going smoothly. The hardware is sorted and the hitch is installed

I really hope you offer it with out the swing outs.

The swing outs are one of the best parts, IMHO. Open the door and along comes the swing out. As someone who has had both a traditional swing out and this one, I can attest to how convenient it is.

Kurt, do you have some pics of the receiver mounting? Is it integrated in the bumper or bolted between the rear cross member and the bumper. I added the receiver after I took delivery and it was a bit of a pain to get it between the bumper and the cross member.

Looks great!

It bolts between the bumper and the crossmember, using the 4 bolts on the back and two on bottom. We are using Grade 8 in that location.

What would your objection to swing outs be if they are integrated with the rear door opening? This is a really nice design and gives you the best of both worlds!

I don't disagree, however I'm terrified of my truck being rear-ended with a spare or anything extended past the bumper. This isolates the forces and will cause greater damage to the vehicle and has a higher instance of vehicle totaling. Conversely, when impact force is distributed across a wide section of bumper, the vehicle is less likely to suffer catastrophic damage.

We can sell you am ARB bumper if your not into the swing outs.

I'm not a huge fan of the appearance of the arb rear.

Ideally I hope you offer without swings... That being said, I'm still eagerly waiting for more photos to see how much the tire mount and license plate bracket protrude past the bumper, and how difficult it would be to remove the swings for daily driving.
