The Puma / Tire carrier combo will fall under the ISO 9001 (ISO 9001:2008, not the former ISO 9001:2000) compliance and therefore carry a much higher cost. This may take a few more months to get Kevin's process' and paper work in compliance...

I doubt that my "process" will ever be in "compliance"!:hillbilly:

There's a process?:hillbilly: I thought it had more to do with "take what we have and make what we can.":meh:

Now that you mention it, that was the "process" used for the prototypes that were originally built :hhmm:

Fire bottle holder for azTony, his bottle is smaller than inkpot's.:o

Awwww, how cute.

OK.... I'm going to have to resurrect this thread. I PM'd Kevin about the tire carriers last week while he was out for CM12...so this is my follow up!

I would LOVE to have one of the tire carriers...I run 285/75-16 Duratrac spare but running it in other locations besides the interior of the truck are not options.

1.) Stock location under truck: No
2.) Swing-out: No
3.) Roof: No

Anyway....let me know your thoughts, Kevin!

Thanks a ton!

Making more is on the table, have a couple who are interested. Any others?

Awesome! I gotta have one!

My main request is to have loops of adequate size that accept a fairly large hook. I think the cross section of the tie-down hooks that I use are approximately 3/8"x3/4" but I can definitely get exact dimensions.

And are they one size fits all for tire sizes 33-37"? Or, one size fits 37", and you stuff in some crap to fill the extra width up that the 33s lack? :hillbilly:

Tony sighting

Further update for AZTony~ A sighting has occured in Phoenix!

I just saw the man today and shook his hand. We did some work on his Tacoma.

I almost didnt recognize him with his hair/beared cut short and his pants on (you know what I mean) :hillbilly:

Viva la Tony!

Yes please! I was planning on asking you about it at the next meeting. I saw your design at the last meeting and thought that it would be perfect for what I am wanting to do. :D

Me me me! I need to stabilize thet spare tire...not to mention the air thing:grinpimp:.

It's about 40 in that shop

I don't think it's the heat...check out the 40 series these guys are busy with right now...just search "Jim S. FJ40 Tuneup".

Tools is calling this a "tune up". I'm thinking spark plugs, oil & filter. Not too bad at all. Probably get it done in 2 hours...then right on to those tire/puma mount things.

Probably start on those after lunch...:meh:
