Four days before I leave for Colorado…so time to do a big project. Arb lockers and new gears. Full rebuild on front and rear axles too.

Depth of blade in shroud matters a lot.
We did an LS3 ERod in a 60 and converted it to manual fan clutch. Build is in the 60-series section.
Cheers
I believe I was told that the shroud needs to be about halfway across the depth of the blade... does that sound right?
Make sure to sharpen up that shroud with a angle grinder before you finish......Wait I mean take the angle grinder and knock any sharp edges off before you finish. Nothing is worse than trying to do belt/fan/water pump work on a vehicle with sharp edges on the fan shround. If you cut out and weld some tabs to bolt and unbolt the top half of the fan shroud for access to work and to reach down and retrieve things that you drop or fall into the inside fan shroud you will be glad you did.Started to bend and burn some metal. You can’t see the blade because I’m using the wood disc still, i’ve got it set up to be about half to three-quarter covering the blade. I can always make it shorter later if needed.
