This is available and is plug and play IF it’s the same 1wire sensor your 70 uses. You could also do the same machining yourself. (Don’t you have a lathe?)

The other option is finding an adapter to mate the unmodified Toyota sensor in the empty M12x1.5 hole on the passenger side head. (Close to firewall when in engine bay.) Mark’ 4wd sells one.

With some digging I’m sure there are others to be found.

I have a bunch of the adapters. and I used the one referenced above for the GM sensor to the toyota 3fe thermo housing. Weird how that works.
Pretty sure that spud shaft for the split case will be harder to get than an Amazon bushing for a sensor! Any news from Advance?

Only been a half of a day, and they are pacific coast time, so I think they are still yesterday.....

Patience... and no news is good news?????

Got a text from Advance that they are going to ship me the right part..... please hold...

Once again, @tornadoalleycruiser came over today and we got the New spud shaft installed in the transfer case and Cut the output shaft to the right length. And decided to go ahead and stab the engine in.

Not sure where my calculations are off but the transfer case it’s about 2 1/2 inches back from original location. Will have to get new driveshafts, and I really don’t have a problem with that. So the issue at hand is the oil pan is conflicting with the front diff. Went back and looked at the gm performance pan and that may be the answer. I really need a pan that is not as deep and not as much out on the passenger side.

So here is the current clearance with the stock Silverado pan.

Snug, but will fit if we can figure out the oil pan.

@thatcabledude, @cruisermatt @SNLC @FJ60Cam

Trying to figure out what pan to get to make some more clearance. The shorter pan will help, but it would be great to have more clearance on the passenger side. I think that the silverado pan.

I just found this pic posted by @FJ60Cam. ... looks like the GM muscle car pan might be the winner. THOUGHTS???

shows part number 12614821 s/s 12614621, however, looks similar to the GM 19212593

It would be better to shift it to the driver side more. I could twist the engine some as well, but then the engine gets a little taller, and we are pretty close to the hood already.

Are you planning for a smaller diameter driveshaft? I would. I went for max clearance and used a f-body oil pan and 2” driveshaft.

you want this

Also, are you sure you don't need the ring gasket between the adapter and transmission housing? Does the adapter have a snug fit onto the transmission case?

ACDelco #24224675 is the original part number that goes there.

Yes, remind me where you got yours made. Woods?

Yeah likely need a gasket there, we could not find one in the kit, so we used that red sticky stuff. Amazing sealant by Permatex. Figured it would replace that seal. @orangefj45 got @tornadoalleycruiser pointed to use this on transfer case rebuilds.
