I registered tonight but still don't know for sure if I'll be able to attend. I figure the registration is easily worth my membership dues even if things go south and I can't attend. I should know "for sure" by Friday, Monday at the latest, it all depends on work stuff that weekend.

Hope to be there since I'm sure Woody of the TTT will have plenty of stories of Rubithon at my expense...

I'm coming from Alabaaaaah...... ah what's the use, I'm the onlyest rig from Auburn again! But I got a passenger this year!
I have some things I have to do to my junk before next week, including register!
Most likely leaving Thursday afternoon and arriving late, like I always do. Going thru ATL though.

looks like the easiest drive for me is to head straight for Tellico plains and then over to the camp ground.

I'll be coming in Thursday afternoon, anything I need to watch for as far as missed turns getting to the campground?

Rick sent me google directions and it looks pretty straight forward.

Rules for OMT.

There are not many but they are important. We want this to be a safe event.

Rick our safety officer will be doing a safety inspection of your vehicle. Nothing detailed but we need to be aware of any deficiencies before you hit the trail. Your safety is our main concern.

When you come to the event you will be required to sign a waiver. Releasing us from all liability.

No one without a valid driver license will be allowed to operate a motor vehicle.

McNabb campground as well as most of the FS area is alcohol free. This means if they catch you with it you can get a ticket and possibly if you have done something stupid enough you can go to jail. Everyone is responsible for themselves when it comes to this. We are not going to search your cooler. What I will say is to be responsible if you do happen to do something illegal make sure you use do it in a cup. We have a good reputation with the FS and I want to keep it that way. We have had this event for the past 4 years with no issues. Please do not be the first.

No alcohol on the trails. My wrath will be far worse if I catch you on the trail with alcohol than the FS could ever do to you. Banishment from the club is a given.

Your safety is our main concern.

That being said I'm ready for some Tellico!

Basic TLCA checklist...
Working brakes (e-brake too)
Basic recovery gear (shackle, strap, gloves)
First aid kit
fire extinguisher
working seatbelts
spare tire of equal size
jack, hi-lift type preferred
vehicle registration & insurance

No fire extinguisher, unless of course you count the case of beer in the back.

might actually work better than some of those tiny extinguishers I tend to see on trail rigs.;) Most of those have about a 3-5 sec burst and that's it.

What I have that someone needs to get.

I have no problem hauling this stuff down but I won't be at Mcnabb until Mid afternoon if I'm lucky.
