Do they rob the 3fe of power...Yes. But who am i racing?

Will they last 200k+ if properly maintained. Yes. Must be a pretty s***ty transmission to last that long.

You guys are too easy. That thing is a damn mini bus tranny. Yeah they don't like to get too hot, and sometimes the output shaft can get worn. But who cares after 200k+ miles of abuse.

I'd probably buy a used 440 and then rebuild it with used parts that I picked up on the internet. Then try to sell it for more than it's worth. Then someone would beat me up over the price and I'd sell it for way less than it was worth. Then I'd complain about them trying to sell it for more than I sold it to them. How dare they.
