Don't try to tell me about cancelled planns!!!I have tried to keep time off for 2 months to come up and get it. It sat there for 1 week and you sold it . (ON CRAIGSLIST AT THAT). I would have gotten it that Saturday, but YOU couldn't meet me.
Don't try to put this on me.
I sorry your boss won't give you any slack. Mine always have.

So he removed it on Tues. then gives you one weekend to get it after waiting 2 months for him to get it out. After that one weekend he sells it on CL the next Saturday morning, the morning you offered to pick it up.
Sounds like a case of...

first off you knew from the first time we met at the low country boil that i was not pulling the engine until i had all the parts for my swap. You knew the guy i purchased the only ranger OD for sale on Mud was in iraq and i could not get it until he came home. If you took time off for two months waiting on me to pull my engine when i'm waiting on someone to come back for iraq you've got a screw loose.

You planned that entire mountain camping trip and i told you a good 2 weeks ahead of time that i would be going to it and will be taking the land cruiser. I told you at the camping trip that i would be pulling the engine as soon as i got back home. I had a few more parts that were schedueld to come in early that week and that was all i was waitin for. That was the week of the UF/S.Car game

Tuesday after the trip the engine was out and on a pallet. I contacted you immediatly. You commented on my "fj60 powered by isuzu thread" that you'd be coming up sunday to get the engine.

I was ticked that you cost me 30 bucks that i didn't need to spend when you neglectd to call me and say you were not coming. There is a 24 hr cancelation policy for my sitter. I find it rude to cancel on people the last min without good reason, even if she didn't have a cancelation policy i'd wouldn't have asked for my money back, it would seem a bit rude to cancel at the last min for no reason at all don't you think?

To top that off i had to call you to even find out you were not coming. If i had not called were you even going to bother calling or was i just going to wait around all day sunday for a phone call from you????

Then you made plans to come get the engine thur or friday...we are well over a week here in the amount of time you knew the engine was out and waiting for you.

You even told another member that you were headed here thur or friday to get the engine (see the Chas to Pitt thread for the post)

You told me on the phone, "i will call you wed night and let you know which day (thur or fri) will work best for me, its easier for me to take a weekday off than a weekend"

Wed you never called, at that point i was dissapointed in you.

I could have sold the engine at that point for twice my asking price to you, i had wasted my time, i had played musical pallets around the shop to keep the engine out of the sight of the boss and to make more room for equipment we are getting in daily.

I told you, come by friday or i have to do something else with the enigne. In otherwords i told you that you told me that you were coming thur or friday and if you wanted the engine you needed to do what you said you were going to do and stop jerking me around.

Thur when you called and didn't seem interested in picking up the engine (you were pretty much an ass on the phone) i contacted all the parties that were interested in the engine back when i listed it for sale a few months back. I told them all if you didn't not pick the engine up by friday when the shop closed it was going to go to the first person with cash in hand.

I had told them all at the time i was holding the engine for a fellow UC member and would save their email incase it didn't sell.

After almost 2 weeks of being pulled and two times of you saying "hey i'll be there (insert day here)" and you never showing the engine went from hold to first come first serve.

Who cares who i sold the engine to. If it had not been picked up sat it would have went to the scrap yard monday morning when the scrap man makes his weekly rounds.

I think my boss was kind enough to let me do my swap up here.

this is a shop, a place of buisness, not a storage facility.

You brought this on yourself. Had i not wasted money on a sitter 2 weeks ago just for you to bail on me last min i might have been more inclined to contact a buddy with a truck and given some gas money to help me move the engine across town to my parents place for a few days.

You can't call me up on a friday evening or 8am sat morning and expect me to clear my scheduel on the weekend. Especially after we both agreed to two other specific times for you to get the engine and both times you canceled in a very un cruiser like fashion.

I told you sat that even if it didn't sell i had a concert to go to right after work where my daughter was singing at the mall. That was over at about 7pm..then i had the joy of being drug to the frigging roper mtn science center for the holiday lights.

Sunday i had church first thing in the morning where my daughter was perfoming for a chruch play for the youth which i could not miss, this may be my grandfathers last x mas and i could not bail on the family x-mas party especially with family from PA flying in and then i ended my sunday with a playoff game in which my hockey team was knocked out in the first round.

I'm sorry my weekend was all booked up. Had you made plans all week to meet me first thing Sat morning instead of thur of fri (which you never showed and never called) we could have made arrangements since i was here at 8am.

I'm betting if you did make plans all week to meet me this past sat morning you probably would have flaked....and some how every time you made plans to meet me and you flaked it has been my fault.

You brought this on yourself buddy.

Next time you make plans to meet someone, keep them. Afterall a man is only as good as his word.

Get a daily planner or something to help you keep your appointments. I'm not a storage facility. When you make plans to meet me I expect you to be there unless your dead or it's the 2nd coming of jesus.

If someone is trying to help me out, i try to go out of my way not to make them go any more out of their way.

My neighbor has some coozies that will hold a full beer to the truck. I'll get pics asap. They're awsome.

Sounds like a case of...

He knew the week leading up to 28th the engine was out and ready to be picked up. He made plans that week to pick it up on the 28th and canceled the night of the 27th. That's a week there.

Then made plans all week leading up to the 4th to pick it up that thur or fri (2nd or 3rd) and Wed he never called

He never tried to make plans to get it on Sat until Sat morning. Not sure if any of you have children who play sports or other activities (dance/sing/karate) but you can't break you kids plans for (insert activity here) just to sell an engine

My day sat was booked up. Had he told me last mon or tues that he wanted to come sat rather than thur or fri he could have met me at the shop between 8-noon.

However calling me at 8-8:30am and saying i need to come pick the engine up today on a sat is not going to work for me. Usually, yes it would, but not when my daugher is singing at the mall and wants me there. I work a good 4 hours away from Chas.

Not even the SEC CS game could get me out of the mall concert and i have been waiting 18yrs for that.

He had almost 2 weeks to pick up the engine and every time he made plans he broke them.

That is his problem not mine.

If i were to do you the same way would you continue to hold something for me????

I think not.

and i sold it to someone from craigslist....i didn't relist it. i had saved emails of all the people who were interested in the engine months ago just in case the buyer backed out.

Yeah, those magnetic coozies are super cool.

the toyota koozies with the belt clip are cool...but don't put it on your belt loop with an open beer.

Please come bail me out Marshall......

Worth going to? Wife has always wanted to go...

much better light show going on at the mill hill in Pelzer (aka the light people), be prepare for long lines but atleast it's free.

the roper mtn show might be fun if you do the carridge ride but they don't offer that every night. To just drive through and do the little santa walk it's a wast of ten bucks.

Hollywild was pretty fun last year when we had all the snow/ice. The area where you fed the animals was a muddy mess and cars were getting stuck everywhere. Poor guys that worked there had to push FWD vehicles out of rutts and got snow/ice/mud/cow crap thrown all over them in the process.

If your going to pay to see lights hollywild is the best.

Um, Mr. Lee... If you recall I was loaded to the gills with dogs and accouterment for traveling to the beach, and had no room for 1000 coozies or metal tech pint glasses. I told you and josh that I would gladly pick them up from you when I returned but noooo, now nobody knows where they are. So put that in your 60 pipe and smoke it, cause it's gotta be good stuff....:grinpimp:

You could have stuck them on the outside with the magnets.

The best light show, hands down, is the one going on right now at Bristol Motor Speedway. Not only are the lights spectacular, you get to DRIVE around the track and the drag strip. Then, just when its about over, you get to Pit Stop in the infield for snacks and games and (my personal favorite) use the NASCAR washrooms they have for the Pit Crews, with GOJO soap dispensers!

What are you talking about? I was your best customer. I got busted the next day. I used my only phone call and called John Lee. He said he was too busy with his new cuzzie cooler to come help me. I'm down the hall from you.

By the way you snore loudly and I can hear you crying at night.

Worth going to? Wife has always wanted to go...

I got pulled over last time I went. They said I was speeding.

I kid you not.

I didn't know BMS had a speed limit, and if indeed they do i'd reckon it would be pretty high. How fast were you going marshall? Were you driving your Bugatti Veyron?

I was a little miffed getting the blue lights. There was no one in front of us. Maybe 15 mph?

Mine has a Toyota engine at least....:flipoff2::flipoff2::hillbilly:

Sorry about that.

I think the Yota engine in the Taco has an oil leak. Funny thing is, my 40 drivetrain, or my Chevy motor doesn't leak a drop. Even though they are both notorious for it. And my nice DD Toyota 4.0l leaves it's footprint everyday now when I park.
