I'd go with the full cab short bed concept.
I wish I could help with one of your pooches but we had to make the decision a few years ago that it just wouldn't be fair to a dog with our lifestyle.

PLIN is Autogaz, basically LPG I think.
Big new extinguisher on Day#1.

Do it. But I like the full 40 on the 55 frame cause it rains around here.

This was on the side of 123 this morning just past the walmart exit, a wild boar....the pictures does not do justice but it had to be 700+ and had some huge tusks, not sure what hit it but I bet it hurt. When I drove back by it a man had actually pulled over to take some pictures of it...these SOB's are getting too close to neighborhoods.
