Cut the plate such that it slides inside the rail. Drill a hole for the bolt to pass through and weld the nut on the other side. If you don't have access to a welder then just use the plate as an oversized washer but the weld keeps you from having to get a wrench in there. At issue is the frame steel really isn't all that thick and can rip.

That really helps,
Thanks

Does the intake have to come off/apart to inspect and wrap the harness near the EGR? I'm getting a pretty consistent p0401, and wanted to address the harness, before the parts list gets spensive. This would be on my 97 lx450

No.

Taking a few things apart.

The rhino is getting new shoes today. The MTZ's really treated me well the last 5 years so I am going with another set. Pics to come. :grinpimp:

then I'd need more clearance....or deflaring......and gearing....next time. ;)
So $968 out the door was my final cost. had them take the best remaining tire and mount as a spare.

So anyone need a 35x12.50r15 spare.......

Saw this little deal sitting out front. $35 for a new tire if anyone needs that size lemme know and I'll call them and grab it.

Prepping for a new hitch. PO DIY hitch was mighty stout and didn't want to give up. Many burnt hairs later. Boom.

James, Could you take a closer pic of your lower rear shock mounts? I'm curious as to how they are mounted. It's not a factory setup.

This is a fitting for the trans cooler port on the bottom passenger side of a stock radiator in an FJ62. It was put there when an auxiliary trans cooler was installed. The 45 points straight up when tight enough to stop the leak.

Easy fix with proper AN fittings. Radiator thread is 14mm X 1.5

On the perch is factory.

Yes, on the perch is factory for the front but my understanding was that factory was down on the plate in the rear and not up high by the axle. It appears that James has aftermarket slider plates with recessed nuts as well. Here's what mine looks like.

Regular adjustable hitch up to 10" drop

Using a double hitch extender I can put on the bike rack and still clear the spare. Woo hoo!

Tilts down as it's supposed to but unfortunately not far enough to allow the swingarm to function.

And in preparation for Biscuit, a little sillyness. Approximately 18" of drop.

Don't worry. I'm not gonna use it like that. ;)
