I like them too. @jfz80 or anyone else, any similar wheel with 6 on 5.5 that will work on an 80 maybe even a 60. 17" would be perfect

Thanks fellas! Getting closer to being finished...had the tires mounted today by Discount Tire just waiting on the 4 wheel spacers. Spare gives an idea of how they will look. 315/70r17 KO2s

What's your question exactly? Other wheels that work. Those should be 5 or 5.5" back spacing. The same as many sequoias. Tundras (6lug). 4 runner. FJC.

I have a set of 4 4 runner trail edition wheels I bought but am not going to run. Gong to relist at $375 on Craig's shortly.

FYI - My truck's bolt pattern is the odd 5 on 150mm, which is shared between the second gen Tundra and Sequoias and 200 Series LCs.

This wheel in a 6 lug 17" that works on an 80

You should be able to find that. Was run on an FJC I believe a couple mud members have run that. @ --------

Edit: damn..,,,Totally typing and drinking here but I swear i had seen them. Must have been thinking of these.

That's the same size tire I've got on my truck! Looks badass!

Transmission fluid exchange. 12 out. 12 in. 2 on the ground. Sounds about right ?!?

Actually, followed Rodney flush in faq and all went well. Clean fluid was flowing after 14qts and only mess was when I got impatient and cranked up the drain flow on the feeding funnel. So even get to take a gallon back.

Hold that Gallon until after the first drive. I was amazed at how my 4Runner went from full to empty after a flush of roughly similar magnitude.

Thanks for the heads up. I have 2 qt extra but will do. Measured what came out and put same back in so hoping I should be close to spot on.

Currently desmogging a 60. Any tips or tricks would be much appreciated. Swapping out the air pump for a JimC dummy pulley. I have a Trollhole carb on the shelf but not sure if I want to use it or just keep running the AISIN with all the vacuum junk capped off. I wonder about things like the AC idle-up, HAC and all the other tidbits that Mr. Toyoda felt necessary. I do plan on getting the AC back blowing cold again sometime so the idle-up might be nice to keep. Any suggestions? PM me if you've done a desmog with any degree of success. We need to talk!

Not really wrenching but clears my shop out a bunch for better wrenching.

8'X9'6"X40 triple floor beam as opposed to a single.
Made to handle a fork truck, perfect for parking a vehicle.
I want to add a roll up door on the side, either a 6'X8' or a 8'x8'
Probably put a man door on the short end near the shop.
Thinking paint it white with painted fake windows to match the shop.

Conex box! Those are great Stan. And anyone screaming in those won't be heard outside, very convenient.

Ehh, not like I haven't pushed the limits of the term "wrenching" in the past, so why make today different.

I was just about to chuck my old Cerwin Vegas in the landfill but have been putting it off for, well, several years.

I bought these new back when CD players were just coming out. The very first thing you learn when you get a CD player is that your old speakers suck! So here I was, in college, with a fresh new credit card, and hauling my butt to Circuit City so I could feel that bass.

Fast forward 30 years and the foam had dry rotted away. As a last ditch effort I went online and found just what I was hoping for .... foam replacement kits for Cerwin Vegas!

$23 and about 2 hours and they are back!

(BTW .... A free set of 10 inch replacement foams for anyone that wants them .... company sent them to me by mistake)

You be the judge. Below is the free carb I got from Johnvee. A couple missing pieces and a couple stripped threads so I opted not to rebuild it and, instead, use it in the classroom to teach bernoulli. I did, however, want to experiment with a new cleaning method. Some folks online said they would soak parts in a crock pot with pinesol. So I gave it a 24 hour soak on low. Here is the result. Overall I suppose I give it a 7 out of 10.
