Got an early weekend coming up so gonna try to make the most out of it and get the 60 in alittle better running condition hopefully knock out some hoses, gaskets, alternator and maybe this EFI set up.
General wrenching question. My FK43 has the h55f transmission and split transfer case. So I am learning not to buy FJ40 parts that ending up not fitting. One silly one is the oil drain plug, its 24mm, so the standard drain plug gasket doesn't work. Replacement slave cylinder rod was about 2" short, so used the old one. So that's minor.
The clutch fork boot was missing. I ordered an fj40 one and of course, its too small. I am sure there is debris inside the housing with that boot missing, and as I was cleaning the outside crud some of it landed inside. Mostly dried up dirt. But my main question, which vehicle should I be looking for the "right" parts? I got an fj75 fork boot cover coming that "looked" right. But as I keep on moving down the truck do not want to do trial and error if I can avoid it.

If not, you can create an account, put in the year and model and it will give you parts diagrams and corresponding Toyota part numbers. HIGHLY recommend it. You just have to know if your drivetrain is stock and if not what year/model each component came from and use that for the search.

That's the thing, the driveline is not stock otherwise partsouq diagrams are good to go. Its an 81 FJ43 with a h55f and split transfer case. Original transmission was H41 according to plate.
For H55F and split case you should be able just to use a mid eighties FJ60 ((FJ60LG-KA) to find the parts. That's what I do, since I have the same 55f/split case in a FJ40.
I have to use a bastardized list of vehicles to find parts, running a 2FE (with 3FE top end, later model 2F long block) / split case/ H55f / FJ45 full float axle, etc etc
YES!! That done did it! Also tells me I ordered the wrong one again last night... but now I know.
Who wants to guess what’s wrong here, other then the belts being cogged?
My hands are mostly clean now. Needed the dexterity to do the fuel filter and gloves weren’t working.

Looks like I’m going to have to give a hint. Take a closer look at the size and shape of the cogs.
As a fellow smartass I would expect nothing less.
And yep, different brands of belts. Also seemed to be slightly different sizes. OEM matched set going on.
We really shouldn't be clogging up cog threads.

Working on Heather's 95 Dodge pulling truck. Like most trucks from that era the dash was crumbling apart. So we pulled the entire dash to replace a bunch of plastic parts. While it is apart I pulled the HVAC system and replaced the heater core and AC evaporator. A new stereo and a couple switches will be replaced as well. Removed the mouse nest as well 
Just a small project today to hold me over until more parts arrive. Second time doing this, forgot to grease the shaft seal the first time and it didn’t last long.
