Ya know, this is the second 1st Gen 4x4 Sequoia I've had, and these things are too often overlooked! Same basic drivetrain as a 100 series Land Cruiser, and a LOT more amenities!.....and they've gotten so inexpensive, they're practically disposable! They're a great "overlanding" vehicle, because they have so much room (dual a/c, part-time 4x4, ATRAC, 2UZ, liftgate for wide open loading with a roll-down rear window, etc.) I've got a lot of other Toyota vehicles, and I can tell you there are lots of reasons people ought to start looking more at these trucks. Only about 6" difference in wheelbase than a 200.

New part number Bilstein 5100s up front (setting on top notch) with OEM springs, OME 2862 rear springs with Bilstein 5100s, 16.7.5 TRD wheels, 285/75-16 BFG KO2s. Rides GREAT (much better than stock) with only a little bit of rubbing at full lock.

That is a sharp ride.

How about one of each?!

I drive the tundra and my wife drives the Sequoia and it's a nice little truck. Here in the northeast I wouldn't want to try to wheel it like we do the 100 but for the state forest fire roads and easy trails it would do great.

Just picked up an grey 04 double cab limited. I'm assuming you went with some sort of lift? Maybe 2"? What size tires? I want to copy yours.

I did the Bilstein 6112 and then upgraded to the 800 lb Eibach springs. You could preload more for a taller front stance.

The rear are the AAL from Toytech - its a Dever.

I'm thinking where yours sits it looks just about perfect. Happy with the ride? Did you go up a tire size or 2? What size are you running?

Tires are the 33" 285/70R17 size.

Very happy with the ride - very smooth still like stock.
