4.7 supercharged . best mod ever . on the road in 2000 ,drive it like i stole it every day for the last 15 yrs .of all the 350 chevy and 3.4 toyota swaps we have done the 4.7 is my favorite

@PabloCruise Sorry guys, build thread does not really exist. I documented it all on an old website, I went through some personal s***, sold the truck the first time to Eric G. and let the website that hosted all the pictures lapse. I was very fortunate and Eric G was very gracious when he sold it back to me. I fixed it all up and finished it and then like a huge dumbass I sold it again to a "Land Cruiser museum" in Alabama. They stopped returning my calls and emails to buy it back. lol.

But you have the absolute original 4.7L swapper right here in this thread! @fj55-100 Evan is the man! Back in 2003 when I started this swap there was zero information about it. I went to Evan for a lot. My truck would not have happened if it wasn't for him.

Thanks @scottryana
I looked through Evan's @fj55-100 thread, but did not see a lot in the way of engine swap detail. I think he had a lot on Birfield.com, but that is long gone...

What details are you looking for?

I guess I am craving the whole story - how to get a 4.7 into a Pig. I likely will never get the chance, but I would love to read about it, see pictures, and file it away...

Before I did the B18C swap into my Civic I read every single swap thread I could find. I love learning the little nuances that people encounter, and how they overcome the various issues that come up in a swap.

My biggest question is the positioning of the engine mounts? I would probably follow @jetranger build as far as transmission and transfer case. But what I'm really wondering is overall cost of mounting and transfer case build.

I would like to see the position of your engine. So what I'm getting from your answer is doing a dry fit to get positioning is the best way to fit the engine for placement.
