My top was too wide at the front so I re-did the grommets and folded under the corners in the process. Fit nice and tight after that. I had some other fitment issues but nothing insurmountable.

While the top is definitely not perfect, I got mine to fit very well. Takes some massaging as someone else said.

Adding to the comment above^^^

Ran into the same issue. The windshield bracket needed massaging IOT fit the contour of the AQ windshield but that’s not a flaw with the TROA top. Pics below show some of the “extra” fabric that seems to be a common trait and a potential “RevISK fold” solution.

They said they were going to address it but 🤷🏽.

In my case it worked out fine because I wanted to replace the grommets anyway and I was able to “fine tune” with the tuck and fold method.

To anyone thinking about buying one of the tops and thinking it will be a perfect fit, disillusion yourself now. They are good tops and can be massaged to fit really well. But they are hand made 50 years after our trucks were.

I believe I didn’t have that issue so it’s possible that they did correct it. I’ll have to look later.

Were you able to get everything sorted?

Only ever having one soft top rig, and pretty recently at that, I’d not noticed the variation in this corner detail. Here’s how it looks on my SIGI Colombian top. Slightly different take. Less material and cut/sewn in a small bulb shape vs square cut.

Nice. Good clean lines above the door too. 🍺

My 73 FST had an aftermarket top when I bought. The cruiser had to male ends of snap for the corners of the windshield. The previous owner installed them in two different locations. I purchased a replacement Kayline top from Man-A-Fre. It included a snap like the other top. I found the instructions from Kayline and misplaced them again on my 68 installed the snap in the same location on each side. When Installed it these weren't collector vehicles. Didn't bother to drill and install the snaps. The top fit well in front corners and laid flat across the door header.

Looking the Kayline manual I did come across a few of these. This one had the earliest date.

Bag of TROA hardware.

Some fasteners are not supplied. I think someone else mentioned that. I knew and accepted that some of the hardware may not be up to customer expectations. A trip to ACE hardware will be in your future.

Understanding that it’s not OE bows, fasteners or top will help with the expectation management. Given the options, it’s a good, well constructed top with some nuances indicative of an after market top.

1st pic TROA supplied.
2nd pic OE twist lock on the right. In my case were painting the footings loops. YMMV.
3rd pic. Example of “Customer supplied” fasteners.

That’s what I figured. But what I’m seeing is it looks like the bottom picture has possibly a zip out back panel. As opposed to the top picture that I got from there eBay site which has Three straps at the top for rolling it up which is what I’m more accustom to.

Chalk it up to a brain fart or a busy life. Regardless I never answered your question.
None of the 3 panels on my top are removable.
