Hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving spent with their families 🦃🦃🦃. We have a bit of a tradition here in southern MD called the Pie Run and this was the 31st year for it. It a massive car show hosted in the town of Deale. Started off as a few guys that would take their classic cars out thanksgiving morning to go down to a local pie shop in town to get their thanksgiving desserts. Over the years it's now a 500+ vehicle event and the South County Cafe still is making and selling some of the best pies around. Always a amazing time, didn't take many but here are just a few photos from the event

I really like that Nomad! That’s a bucket list car for me.
Me too. My father has a very nice 55 Belair, so if you cant tell from the photos I'm a big Tri Five fan and of course Supra fan. Dad's 55

I picked up on your preference for Tri-5’s. Your dad has a very nice shoebox! Did he do all of the work himself?

When I saw Dad’s Belair, for a quick second it appeared to be AI generated…it is absolutely perfect…great photo

We did quite a bit of the work but can't take credit for all of it. Was a decent driver when he acquired it. 350sbc, turbo350 trans, power windows, power brakes, vintage air over all really nice car. We redid all of the suspension. Now sitting on tuber A arms and QA1 coilovers with drop spindles. The body and paint were in good shape other than all the jambs and the dash so we ended up pulling a lot apart respraying all of those as well as a redoing a bunch of wiring. This isn't the first I've built with him. We did a full frame off resto on a 56' belair when I was much younger, a 66 impala and his 3100 Chevy pick up and now the 55'

Definitely was a good shot, taken on a trusty iPhone at that. A few more from the same day, was actually at my cousins wedding

Pop let my boy drive it the other day, he was pretty darn excited, making memories is what it's all about

What suspension mods were done to the rear? It has a very nice stance.
Actually nothing fancy in the rear of the car, still leaf pack with a leaf or two removed. Rides good eventually we would like to four link and put QA1 coils to match the front. He's currently looking at different wheel set ups to modernize the look a bit ( I'm a big fan of the billet wheels on the first pictured 55 from the show )

Is your dad affiliated with any of Tidewater Tri-5 club members? I knew a few of them when I lived in the area. My best friend is a former member.

Best 60 dollars I've ever spent in the winter

We got our first taste of snow for the season. It was short lived and gone pretty fast but spent the weekend give the "Towyota" a bit of love, replace the tailgate handle, and rebuilt the saggy driver seat bolster with some foam I had leftover. @DC470 stopped by and we tightened up his front wheel bearings

Good morning from cruiser cottage customs HQ lol. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Woke up to a bit of snow this morning, good thing I spent yesterday getting the yard all cleaned up. Did some top socket drawer reorganizing, waiting on a few more socket rails to arrive to get everything back in there. Got a new work light from HF when they put the icon lights on 40% off. Also I've had this SK ratchet since I was in high school, I was pretty bummed when it bit the dust but I submitted a warranty claim on their website and within 3 days I had a brand new ratchet, solid company, good tools.

I have had my snap-on ratchet and sockets since 1974… in the last 4-5 years when I use them, I am amazed i was 21 and they were probably $45 for the set !
By the way, that ICON light is really great. Mine is maybe 4 yrs old and just does 90% of the work i need it for
