@1911 after my FCC exam in 1981, this call was assigned to me as a tech when I first started. I’d just kept it. Tech, General, advanced and never changed it. I knew some very old hams back then and they were all WWII radio ops and I’d met them 40 years later. I was 27 they were 80. Field Days were cool. We actually came in 1st place for our class one year. Stories were fantastic. My great friend KN2B (silent key) came up with “ Needs 2 Come Up Jumping “. From that point on, I had no choice..😊

Got back from CLCC fall crawl 25' had a great time wheeling and camaraderie was perfect! when we got back started a side hustle with @DC470 2 fat guy Carwash lol. Can't wait till next year

More photos over on Waffles build thread

Guest appearance at the cruiser cottage this weekend @Von Hayek stop by with his wife's 200 to get some much needed under carriage washing done.

Spent yesterday at Longwood gardens in Kenneth square PA for the wife's birthday. I would highly recommend. Place is HUGE and rich in history. My wife is big on botanical gardens and this one did not disappoint!

@TRDdrew great place! We’ve been there a lot even though it’s a ride for us. Make sure you make it there for the Christmas lights. It’s cold at times but as you say…it does not disappoint.

Did you guys watch the video about DuPont?

We did, as well as spent a lot of time touring the home, I'm a sucker for the history aspect of it all

Nice “summer house” !

Bought me a new toy for the shop/house. Gotta get a back feed plug wired in.

Definitely worth seeing the Christmas show at Longwood Gardens! Other duPont estates worth checking out are Eleutherian Mills and the Hagley Museum & Library and Winterthur.

Not to be "that guy," but I'd recommend tire chocks for that vehicle/trailer balancing act... I keep finding myself saying "it's fine up until the point it isn't..."

good points for the next time we head up that way

you are probably right on the chocks. Trailer brakes were set to full lock, as well as the tundra's ebrake and the 200's. Jack stands to support the back deck of the trailer. On top of all that the driveway is very level. I've been doing power washing like that for years and always feels very stable even when pulling the vehicle up. But I do hear you " it's fine until it isn't" 👍

Got to see the Northern lights from the cruiser cottage tonight! Not somthing we get to see very often.

I looked from the backyard last night, but too many lights around me and it had been a long day and I didn't feel like driving out to look elsewhere.

Ya the camera of course picks up more than what your eyes can see but it was still cool. This morning my brother-in-law texts me, he's a pilot and sends me this from his flight last night

Several years back we were going to Vermont to visit family who still live at the base of Jay Peak… we were about 10 miles away but the mountain peaks obscure much of the valley and were are seeing a tremendous display of red/green and purple aurora borealis.. I’m in awe I am so desperate to see this celestial phenomenon… as we get closer..we realized it’s July 4th weekend…..fireworks!

The night of the best views here in New Jersey last week were fully cloud covered..nothing

It's not always clean lol. Rust repair.... my favorite

Finished the rust repair on the driver side of the 80, now just to mimic it on the passenger side. Need to reset and clean up some tools before I get going on the other side. Finally flipped my welding cart around. Put the stud dent puller down low since it sees little use nowadays and the mig up top allowing for easy service. After about 6 years of the welders side door hinges being broken I finally fixed it lol

And Apparently Panera bread has 1 dollar soups with an entree right now lmao 😂

Finished off the weekend with my wife's homemade cream of mushroom over pork chops with all the sides, I'm a happy man right now
