Thanks Jason! Glad you made it back safe, it was storming here too for a bit.

The bumpers, skids and drawers are fantastic. Everything is at the powder coater, it'll be a week or two for the final product as they're pretty booked up but for the price they're coating, I'll wait.

Got the drawers all hard mounted, took a little bit of work and I have a few "extra parts" but they're in there and are quite sturdy.

Any interest in a diff drop kit for the 200? I've been looking and there was one guy here that made a group buy awhile back, but I can't seem to find a US vendor for these.

I'm having 1600 aluminum bushings run for my 100 series diff drop kits and could get a 200 kit put together pretty quickly as well.

Don't know if you are seeing something different, if so I'd like to know, but with a BP-51 shock at full droop, I took off the boots and found there is plenty of room still left before binding, even when at full drop and full lock. I think that is why I remember reading that Slee didn't think a diff drop was relevant on the 200.

The 100 series makes since, just like 3rd gen 4runners/1st gen tacomas and earlier stuff. But I think new Toyotas made after 2005 found their front diff already at lot lower than previous models.

Like the 100, its about CV angle reduction. Seems there are 10-12 AUS manufacturers for the 200 kit and none here. I know Tough Dog, EFS and a few others recommend it for a 2" or taller lift for the 100 and 200 alike. I'm new to the 200, just curious what you guys think and have experienced after lifting these and have you seen any CV issues up front due to the CV angle.

Speaking with the guys at Just Differentials they are interested in them for the 200.

The angle reduction is between 5-7 degrees per the mfg's notes I'm seeing based on a 2" lift. Doesn't sound like much, but if it keeps the CVs and corresponding components in good shape for longer... I'm all about it.

Cool, maybe someone is experiencing a vibration, I hope they chime in then because there maybe more. And since diff drops are like $10 of hardware, it's not like it's a break the bank test. I do know the 100 front diff sits at a much higher degree of CV angle than the 200, I wonder what these companies are seeing then?

I'm not having any vibration, but that is just one 200 out of thousands. Plus I want maximum ground clearance under my skid plates.

I'll definetly tell you if/when I tear a CV boot though.

More of an issue of CV breaks/damage and torn boots for the most part is what I'm reading and hearing about. Basically the same issues that the 100 experiences.

Hey Jason, when I purchase my Tough Dog suspension will I need diff drop and UCA?

No to both.

Aftermarket UCAs will certainly help with clearance off the strut top as well as wheel alignment adjustability. But the 1.5" lift will function perfectly well without them.

Diff drop is not recommended by TD until after 2" or more. But at that point why even go with a taller than 1.5-2" lift as the drop will steal 1" of clearance up front, similar to what @Taco2Cruiser was saying above.

Oops. I was still thinking the TD was 2 in. +.
Looking forward to the install. Thanks again

Got @codyaustin5 custom base rear installed today. We even got to keep the reflectors and the mud flaps... :) and tack welded on a set of my RLCA skids with a quick coat of epoxy paint.

I only got a couple of good pics, maybe C will post some more. Thanks for the Shiner, the order and hope to talk soon.

Cheer guys!
