Very nice, what motor is that? See some go fasts there in the back ground. Got a 2006 GSXR 750 motor for sale on local craigslist. I'll get some better pictures in a few and post.

OOOOoOooOooO what engine is that?

I'll do this once here, do not want to hijack your thread.

I went the Mitsubishi rout.

4d34-2at is a 3.9 bolts up to the stock a440f auto trans clean and simple, no adapters.
Mechanical injection pump, mechanical trans, fancy valve body from Rodney and good to go, we'll see....

I'll start my own thread here in the 60 section once I get a little deeper.

Thanks again for the pics, keep up the good work!

More Motor Mount Pictures

Here are a few more picture of the frame mounts for the motor.

1st is passenger side
2nd drivers side
3rd is underside of passenger side

Still need to trim off some of the excess. I don't have any gussets right now. I think the welds and downward pressure of the motor will be just fine, pushing the bottom of the mounts to the frame.

Don't know much about that motor, is it out of a Mitsubishi Fuso by chance?

Ah nice motor, did you use the AW450 trans like SuperHatch did?

If you do not want to get this thread OT I understand.

I looked into those but the Mitsubishi's are very rare up here.

It is, its like the Isuzu 4BD1T in that its the same displacement and configuration as a 4BT, not sure why they all (Cummins, Isuzu and Mitsubishi) all used the same displacement. Not sure if it was a licencing thing or what if one sold licencing to the others?

That sounds reasonable Jeremy

Thanks for the mount pics. I am very close now to doing mine. What are the specs of the rectangular tube? Looks like a great way to go on those.

Got the idea from doug720, the box tubing I used is 4"x6"x6" and I can't remember the wall thickness. I then had the angles cut at a machine shop and test fit the pieces. Had to cut the length down to about 5 1/2", then cut the bottom side off to make a C-channel and used a marker to locate the mount holes from the motor mounts. Then used an old motor mount and a transfer punch to locate the center of the holes on the marked area. If I remember correctly, the mount holes are 7/16". Hope that helps out.

Gonna try and start the shackle reversal this week. Kinda got an idea of how to do it but any info would be great. The kit I'm using is from Ruff Stuff, shackle reversal with SOA.

Well I started on the SR today. Got the spring hanger and the shackle mount cut off and the frame all smoothed out. Now just need to weld on the new spring hanger and the new shackle mount on. More to come!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I want a lift.

Jealous :D

Thanks Johnny, a lift really does come in handy. I have gotten a lot of work done on it. Got the seat rails you sent, they look awesome. Great job on boxing them up and shipping them for me.

Looking good broham!!!

Looking good broham!!!

Thanks Sir, hope to be done with it by GSMTR

It looks like your going to have a awsome rig when its done. When should i drop mine off?

Thank you Sir. Don't think that I will do another one for a long time. If the money is right, I could reconsider.

Well I haven't done anything to the front but clean up the frame rails. Started on the back leaf springs today. Got the springs mounted in the front by the spring hangers. Don't have any bolts for the shackles yet. Did get the third member in and the drive shaft hooked up. Got really lucky there. It bolted up fine and was really surprised. Thought that I would have to have it lengthened due to moving the engine forward. More to come..

Looking good! Wish I had 5 min to get over there and help some.

Are you running a DC joint on the rear driveshaft?
