Just be aware that the average time for Serra to ship the parts you buy during this discount period is 2 weeks. I put an order for OEM wipers and did not hear for 3 days. Emailed back requesting some info and got a pretty sassy response saying my order was behind another 400 ones from other customers - if I did not like it, they could cancel it. I am ok waiting, not in a hurry for wipers, but just fyi. Not sure I like the customer service from these guys though.

Normally yes. I seem to remember it being higher a couple years ago but not lately.

Keep in mind that 25% is off the already discounted prices. You’ll be close to half of MSRP for a lot of parts.

Half of MSRP is below dealer cost. This is co-op program where SET pays the dealership back for any money lost selling below cost.

Would be the best time to get ATF fluid($11ish/quart)? Or would y'all go another(non OE) route?
Verify the relevant site will actually ship ATF. Not all of them will, and some of the remaining will charge extremely high prices to do so, more than canceling out the savings.

I am somewhat local to Serra and when i looked at other dealers in the area they were all very close in price. Before the additional 25% off, serra was putting 30% off the MSRP, but Hoover Toyota down the road was doing 29% off MSRP. What;s the deal with Serra that everyone wants to just shop through them and have them ships parts across the country?

Most dealers dont offer the discount, certainly not outright. My local dealer will match prices usually, but they won’t match the extra 25%. There are a few other dealers who do the same discounts as Serra though and ship. So I wouldnt say I was married to Serra, but they do have the lowest prices. And, at least for a little while, possibly still, they pack shipments better than other dealers. Having been part of a couple of these big sales they have been better at handling orders, after learning from their previous mistakes.

If you follow the maintenance schedule, OE will work fine, but if you don't mind spending the extra few dollars and want a superior synthetic version that will handle heat and breakdown better, go with an aftermarket WS full synthetic like Amsoil or Ravenol.

The OE WS is not a synthetic, the term lifetime fluid should have never been used. No lubricant lasts forever and all will break down.

"Lifetime" refers to the lifetime of the warranty maybe.

I have had a similar experience. My local dealer does not even bother every time I come in with an online price and ask for a match. Usually is a "no-can-do" rolling eyes response. It is rarely the case they offer better pricing, even after factoring in shipping costs from the online dealers.

That makes sense to me. I also read that the sale promotion is only at participating dealers in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina. Didn't know it was so limited.

I wouldn't stay married to Serra only because of the issue you're having with 400 other orders in front of yours.

I do know I'm lucky to be not far from a few dealers. The pads and rotors I ordered late afternoon on Sunday were ready today (8/27) at 2pm for me to pick up.

I’m not sure of the exact structure and whether it’s new car sales or service or just parts divisions, but Toyota splits up big chunks of their American business into regions. These sales seem to be offered exclusively by this region, for whatever reason.

It's across the entire structure:

TMNA: Toyota Motor North America: In charge of everything except the following:

GST: Gulf States Toyota Distributors (Friedkin Family)
SET: South East Toyota Distributors (Moran Family)

These two distributorships run their operations as they see fit as long as they ascribe to distributorship rules as governed by TMNA.

The parts sale is a SET CO-OP only.
