Next step is change intake manifold....blah.

So. The intake had a vacuum leak. The engine I had thrown in still had the cast iron intake. So I swapped in an aluminum intake with fresh gaskets. Also had a poopy rear third. Poopy means worn out. While doing that replaced both axle seals. Runs happy and strong and the rear is tight. Then after that I did something I've never done since owning the pig. I gave it battery hold downs....

Wow! Pablo! You commented on my thread! It's been ages since you left a footprint here. Is it my birthday?

Next step is to drop the tcase combo and fix the gear oil leak. And then time to finally make an anti-wrap bar for the rear. I'm also thinking its time to get temp tags for pigtown and call up the insurance company and change from storage coverage to driving coverage.....

Ha! No, just don't have much value to add to your build - you are way above my level with what you are doing...

You're sure knocking the projects out. I thought it was just going to be a trail rig. Any problems getting it inspected for plates.

Got the temp today. As far as inspecting.....I know some people that know some people....

I do have some big sky Montana mud flaps I need to put on.

I think that's a load of horse poopy!

I'm a fan of bottle openers. I put them on my cars and bumpers and such that I make for people or for "friends of the barn". But my neighbor dropped by the other day and gave me a dog bottle opener.

Also took the pig home after getting temp today. A little different scenery for the pig. It made the 10 mile ride home just fine.

That is a righteous looking homestead there...

We like it a bunch but are rent payers. Someday I can have my own place and park my herd o cruisers there...

Next is anti wrap and gear oil leak issue and mud flaps.

Got the mud flaps on today. Made them removeable. Pic to follow. Also got it back on the insurance.

There is always some stuff to take care of with returning it to on the road service. I put my phone charger in it today for the ride home. Then wifey took it right back to town to go to the parent teacher thing at my boys' daycare. On the way home she got some rain. Yup. Wipers were garbage, they've been dry rotting for a couple years. Also the drivers window doesn't roll up. Because there isn't a window. I took it out when it jumped out of its track that holds it at the bottom of the glass. What's the best glue to put it back in its track? Anybody? Don't be shy. You got anything for me Pablo?

Well, I would start by buying her some flowers, maybe draw a bath for her and tell her what a great wife she is. Listen to every word she says, like Ron does...

Oh wait, do you mean for the glass? Sorry, I thought you meant to appease the wife!

I bought some strips of material that I think my glass installer called "glass tape" and used that to seat the glass in the regulator. I bought it at an automotive weatherstrip supply warehouse in Denver. I think Ige turned me onto the place. I'll have to look to find the name.
