Today. Grabbed some different springs from on of the trucks outside that's donating its 6.5 diesel and nv4500. The donor truck is a 3/4 ton so it has several leafs to the pack. I made it a 3 leaf pack for the front of the pig with no overload leaf. Considering these are rear leaf packs. So all 3 leaves are super long. After setting the pig down on them they held very well and just above being flat. They should ride beautifully. So under load I made marks and took several measurements to decide the shackle hanger location. Set my pinion angle and shackle angle and burned in spring pads on the axle and spring hanger and the shackle hanger. So when it was time to go home so I could spend some quality dad time with my boys left to do is, shock mounts u-bolts then the major thing of cut and turn. I will tackle these things tomorrow.

I hate my phone and its pic uploading prowess.

I didn't take any pics today. But the axle is in its new home at 110 inch wheelbase. Next to do is shock mounts and new shocks because the old ones aren't near long enough. Then cut and turn.

So got both the shocks set. Using a pair of shocks that are 32" extended and 19" compressed. I have set up to have 5 inches up travel 8 inches down.

As you can see I have started on the cut and turn. Also have a little massaging to do to one of the battery trays. Moving the shock mount up interfered with it. Damn it.

I am registered and planning on attending sir. Both sides are cut turned and rewelded. Just need to reassemble the knuckles now. There are a few other things I'd like to get done before relic run. Nothing terribly important though.

I'm only borrowing them shocks sir.

Finally done.

I know, I know. There is a jeep in the background. Not mine. Also there is some ghetto flex testing pics. Just finished and eager to test. So try not to flame me for the poser shots. Got the help of my Tacoma.
